Breaking the Bank is one of the many Side Quests received upon joining the Crimson Fleet as a double agent in Starfield. Players will be faced with many important decisions and how they take on the situation will increase their chances of either joining the Pirates or the UC SysDef.
While completing Breaking the Bank in Starfield, people will mostly stay in one location where they need to either use their Persuasion skill or violence to get what they want.
Breaking The Bank Walkthrough In Starfield
For starters, travel to the Aranae System and dock the Siren of the Stars. Inside, a guy named Captain Evgeny Rokov will speak with players and ask about their mission, in which they have the freedom to tell the truth or lie. Turns out Rokov is desperately trying to return to the Crimson Fleet and agrees to help if players offer to speak to Delgado on his behalf.
After getting the Starview Access Pass, people can either complete the optional mission first and get the award for Naeva or immediately seek out Larry Dumbrovsky, which is the main objective.
How To Steal The ES Award In Starfield
To Steal the ES Award In Starfield, follow one of the Quest markers and speak with the Head of The Awards Committee, Sheila Holbrook. Upon inquiring about the awards, Sheila reveals that it's locked away in the Master Safe, guarded by the Purser.
Head to the Safe and speak with Chief Purser Murata to find out that it's impossible to get the award without the necessary Access Code. Return to Sheila and Persuade her to get the Access Code. If players don't have high Persuasion Skill in Starfield, they can Save before speaking with Sheila and Load each time the Persuasion fails. After that, return to the Safe and nab the ES Award.
What To Do With The ES Award
Players can either give Naeva the reward or keep it and sell it themselves. Here are the available methods to benefit from the ES Award:
- Give it to Naeva without reporting to Delgado about the Award to receive 6000 Credits.
- Give it to Naeva after reporting to Delgado about the Award to get 3000 Credits.
- Keep the ES Award and sell it at the Trading Authority to get 9000 Credits or more. It depends on the player's Commercial Skill level.
Seek Larry Dumbrovsky In Starfield
To find Larry Dumbrovsky, speak with the guests at the party to find more information. Eventually, one suggests seeking Klaudia Swist, who can be found sitting outside the Guest Suites. Klaudia is a smart woman, so players can either Bribe or Persuade the information out of her.
Either way, the answer is the same. Find Gabriel Vera and speak with the Corrupted Security Officer. Sadly, he's not in the mood for a chat, so players must find Rokov to devise a plan. The Captain suggests triggering an emergency lockdown to isolate Gabriel, allowing players to speak freely with him
To trigger the emergency, follow the Quest marker and convince Sandin to leave his post to use his computer. Possessing the Empath and Space Scoundrel Traits in Starfield will get the job done easily. Bribing Sandin or telling him about Rokov's debt also works. Activate all three switches to force an emergency shutdown.
Upon finding Gabriel Vera, it's recommended to Bribe him rather than kill him to receive an important piece of evidence without getting forced to kill all the guards on the ship.
Should You Kill Or Spare Larry Dumbrovsky
After dealing With Gabriel, head to Larry Dumbrovsky's location in Starfield to chat. Here, players are given two choices and each one yields a different result.

Chat with Rokov then board the ship and head towards GalBank, New Atlantis in Starfield.
Once players arrive, speak with the fidgety guard who confesses that he's being held hostage by the Ecliptic and the group is waiting to ambush players in the Archive. Use this information to stock up on Ammo and Health before entering.
Defeat the enemies and use the GalBank Computer to retrieve the necessary information on Legacy and the Supremacy. Finally, head to The Key and report to Delgado and Naeva while optionally putting a good word in for Rokov. After that, head to the UC SysDef and report to Commander Ikande as well to complete Breaking the Bank Quest.
Starfield is available now on Xbox Series X/S and PC.
