A Starfield player has wielded their creativity to make a unique comic book using in-game screenshots. The award-winning action RPG released by Bethesda in 2023 has just celebrated its anniversary, and the first major expansion pack, Shattered Space, is due to launch at the end of September. Fans of Starfield have a lot to look forward to in the sci-fi epic that many have dubbed “Skyrim in space.”

Bethesda’s Tim Lamb, the creative producer of the space exploration game , even stated in a recent interview that he hopes Starfield will enjoy a longevity on par with Skyrim’s impressive 13 years. In the gaming world, that’s an eternity and particularly noteworthy considering that the latest entry in The Elder Scrolls series is a single-player experience. Given how immersive and long-lived Bethesda’s creations can be, fans of both Skyrim and Starfield have found ample inspiration for creative projects that express their appreciation for the games.

A Redditor who goes by Ares_from_Mars recently shared one of their latest artistic endeavors: a comic book created using images of Mars taken with Starfield’s photo mode. The gamer explained that they’d begun taking screenshots the moment they started playing and decided to recount an adventure in a kind of photo montage. The images were edited using Photoshop, and the artist confirmed that there was no AI used to create the comic.

Ares_from_Mars' projects involving the game don’t stop there, however. The Starfield fan explained that they are also working on a weapons catalog for each manufacturer in Bethesda’s sci-fi world. A few pages from that project have already been shared on Reddit, along with a cinematic-style teaser set on the dark side of Luna. The artist has also created a fictional promo poster for Starfield’s Chunks brand of cubic space food that looks very authentic.

Like other games that feature a building mechanic, Starfield has seen a slew of inventive and imaginative player creations since it first launched in September 2023. This is most often seen in the impressive spaceships built in the game, like a recreation of a Star Wars Rebels Ghost freighter or the Auditore Da Firenze, a player-built ship inspired by Assassin’s Creed’s Ezio. Recently, one person even made their spaceship in Starfield look like a giant shark, which deservedly received a lot of praise from the Reddit community.

Once Starfield’s Shattered Space DLC goes live, players will likely enjoy a fresh wave of inspiration for their artistic tendencies. The expansion will add more than 50 new locations to the spacefaring game, enemy and grenade types, and story details that expand on the Crimson Fleet, Spacers, and Va’ruun Zealots factions.
