A brand-new Starfield mod has added The Elder Scrolls' star system to the game, giving players a new way to explore another of Bethesda's most iconic universes. This Starfield mod is a great start for any gamer hoping to see a full crossover between the two in the future.

Over the years, other Bethesda games like Skyrim and Fallout 4 have been kept alive by their respective communities in the form of modding. The mods for the aforementioned titles can bring them up to modern standards, and the hope is that the exact same will happen with Starfield over the next few years. The game's initial mixed reception from fans had some concerned about what the modding community would even want bring to the table, but over one year on, there are already some truly impressive Starfield mods out there. Gamers can only hope this strong modding trend continues, and by the looks of things, it will.

This 'Highly Requested' Starfield Feaure Could Be A Long Way Off

Starfield faces a growing issue with its in-game economy, and despite fan requests for a solution, this long-standing problem may be far from resolved.

This Starfield Elder Scrolls mod is titled The Elder Star System - Magnus, and can be found on Nexus Mods. Its purpose is simple: to add the star system found in the Elder Scrolls games to Starfield, making it fully explorable for players. At the moment, it adds the main planet in the series, Nirn, as well as its moons Secunda and Masser. Players can land on all of these, although right now, they don't have the correct Starfield biome. That's planned for a future update, according to creator RONALDMCDONLD.

This is What The Elder Scrolls' Star System Looks Like in Starfield

The mod is intended to serve as a foundation for other mod projects to build upon. Creator RONALDMCDONLD is also behind the ongoing Starblivion project, which aims to add the world of Oblivion to Starfield in full. The idea is that players will be able to use this mod in the future to land into the Starblivion mod, which sounds pretty cool. Earlier this year, another ambitious Elder Scrolls and Starfield crossover mod was canceled, and this is often the case with projects of this scale. Hopefully, this becomes one of the exceptions.

After the recent release of Starfield: Shattered Space, it'll be interesting to see what Bethesda does with the IP going forward. The recent Starfield expansion faced some heavy review criticisms from players, just like the game itself, although there's no doubt that the base game was a financial success for the studio. With The Elder Scrolls and Fallout also on the agenda, Bethesda certainly has some decisions to make about its future projects. It would be surprising to see future Bethesda games follow the Skyrim model, keeping players waiting over 13 years for a mainline sequel.
