While exploring the vast world of Starfield and collecting resources from numerous Planets, players are bound to get injured by enemies or from the environment. There are several diseases that will make gameplay more difficult like Infections, Concussion, and Frostbite, which makes it crucial to collect the necessary remedies.
A serious Status Affliction that will occasionally occur is the Broken Bone, which indicates a physical illness like a Sprain or a Fracture. Luckily, there are a couple of methods in Starfield that players can follow to cure this Affliction and both are extremely easy.
The blue Broken Bone icon includes several injuries, and other Status Afflictions are more or less the same. For instance, a Red Bandage signifies things like Lacerations and Puncture Wounds, a Purple Pill signifies Infections, while the Yellow icon may mean Brain Injury, Concussion, Heatstroke, Hernia, Poisoning, and many more.
How To Heal A Broken Bone In Starfield
To heal any type of wound inflicted by the Broken Bone Status Affliction, players may either use certain medications or visit a Doctor. Keep in mind that the Status Affliction is represented by a blue icon, and it indicates one of the following injuries:
- Dislocated Limbs
- Fractured Limb
- Fractured Skull
- Sprain
- Torn Muscle
Unlike other Status Afflictions which decrease Health quickly in Starfield or make it difficult to breathe Oxygen, the Broken Bone Affliction makes players more vulnerable to attacks and forces them to receive extra damage. To avoid this injury, make sure to not fall from high places like cliffs and use the Jetpack to negate the fall as quickly as possible.
How To Heal A Broken Bone With Medications
Healing the Broken Bone Status Affliction requires specific medications in Starfield, which possess the blue triangle icon. There are multiple med packs that offer the correct cure such as Immobilizer and Panacea. Although the latter is used to cure all Afflictions instead of a specific one like the former.
Obtaining these med packs is possible by raiding enemies’ camps and purchasing some from merchants or Doctors. The Credit cost vary from one merchant to another, so keep that in mind.
How To Heal A Broken Bone By Visiting The Doctor
This method is more straightforward and less time-consuming than the first one since players don’t need to waste time searching for meds. However, it is more expensive and not exactly convenient. Simply head to any medical center and ask a Doctor to patch the wounds and pay the appropriate amount of Credits in Starfield.
There is a medical center in every big major city. For example, travel to The Lodge in New Atlantis and head right to find Reliant Medical Clinic run by Doctor Alexi Lebedev. There is also Talia O’Shea from The Well in Starfield who takes care of patients in The Med Bay.
Starfield is available now on PC, Steam, and Xbox Series X/S.
