This guide will talk about what happens if players end up taking too many stimulants and develop an addiction in Starfield. It will show fans how they can take care of their character's addiction quickly to avoid dealing with the consequences.

Stimulants Addiction Status

Gamers can get their Starfield characters addicted to stimulants if they take them too often. This makes it possible for them to go into withdrawal if they go too long without consuming more of it and has negative effects.

If the player's character develops a stimulant addiction and goes into withdrawal, they'll have a reduced carry capacity, and they'll also have a reduced oxygen recovery rate. This is why gamers should attempt to recover as soon as possible.

How to Cure Addiction

In Starfield, there are two ways to cure an addiction and one way to suppress it temporarily. Of course, taking care of an addiction for good is always more practical, but gamers might find themselves in a situation where they don't have access to the proper treatment. Here is how to get rid of addictions in Starfield:

  • Players can purchase Addichrone to suppress withdrawal symptoms for ten minutes. Addiction costs 380 credits, and it can usually be purchased from doctors near medical bays.
  • For 665 credits, gamers can purchase Junk Flush, which purges the body of all addictions and makes it so the character no longer suffers from their addiction.
  • Lastly, players can ask a doctor to directly cure them if they're near a medical station. This option only costs 450 credits, and it'll remove the addiction for good.

Getting a doctor to cure the player is undoubtedly the most cost-efficient method, but there is a reason the other two items exist in Starfield. Gamers' characters might develop an addiction while in a tricky situation that they won't be able to escape any time soon, and therefore they might have to resort to the smaller selection of items that they've taken with them on their journeys.

Players can visit The Well or Akila City to quickly find a doctor.

Players who don't mind spending a few extra credits might want to purchase a couple of Junk Flush items so that they can quickly take care of this problem if it ever arises.

Starfield is now available for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
