Players who decide to visit Earth in Starfield might not like what they find upon their arrival. What was once a planet teeming with life is now little more than a giant ball of sand, with naught but craters and caves for Starfield players to explore. However, by completing certain actions in-game, it's possible to pinpoint the locations of several of the planet's remaining landmarks, including the Pyramids of Giza.
Unlike some of the other Earth landmarks that players can visit in Starfield, the pyramids aren't actually too dissimilar to the ones found in the real world today. Given that they are thousands of years old and already in ruin when the planet falls into disrepair, this probably shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. Those who venture out to Starfield's Cairo Landmark can also get their hands on the Cairo snow globe, which may appeal to some players.
How to Visit the Pyramids in Starfield (Cairo Landmark)
In order to be able to visit the Cairo Landmark in Starfield, players will need to find a copy of The Ancient Civilization of Egypt. It's possible that this book can be scavenged while exploring spaceships and settlements, but the easiest way to acquire it is by purchasing it from Sinclair's: a bookstore located on the west side of Akila City in the Cheyenne star system. To reach it, players should follow the path that leads past the Chunks building on their left and then head down the stairs to the right of the city's Sanctum Universum.
Upon their arrival, they should look for Ahnjong Sinclair, who will either be sitting out front or standing around somewhere in the store. By speaking with her and asking to see what she has for sale, players will be able to find The Ancient Civilization of Egypt under the Notes section of the menu. As they're already here, it's a good idea to purchase a copy of Oliver Twist if they don't already have one, as this will be needed to find the location of the London Landmark.
After purchasing a copy of The Ancient Civilization of Egypt, a new activity will become active and the Cairo Landmark landing site will appear on the player's map of Earth. If they make their way there, they'll find the remains of two Pyramids and the Cairo snow globe on the base of the furthest one. There's not much else to do here other than take in the beautiful surroundings and maybe take a few pictures using Starfield's photo mode.
Starfield is available now for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
