In Memoriam is Sarah Morgan’s Companion Quest in Starfield. The mission is only available if players decide to pursue the Chair of Constellation romantically. Doing so is a time-consuming process as the Flirt option will appear randomly when speaking with Sarah.
The In Memoriam Companion Quest will allow players to help Sarah face her past by traveling to a certain Planet that brings painful memories in Starfield. There are a couple of tasks to complete before triggering the In Memoriam Quest, and the following guide will provide all the necessary information.
How To Trigger In Memoriam Quest In Starfield
Triggering the In Memoriam Companion Quest in Starfield requires setting Sarah Morgan as the Active Companion and raising her relationship affinity by picking the romantic options. Additionally, the players mind her likes and dislikes as dealing with any situation in a bad way will make her mad.
After a while, Sarah talks about how she wishes to return to Cassiopeia I and clear her conscience by searching for her lost crew mates on the UC Dauntless. To do so, first visit Admiral Logan and ask his permission to acquire some information about the Ship’s last location in Starfield. The Admiral agrees after hearing Sarah’s reasoning and sends players off to the crash site.
How To Complete In Memoriam Quest In Starfield
Head to Cassiopeia I in the Eta Cassiopeia System and land near Sarah’s Old Campsite. Follow the Quest marker in Starfield to reach the camp and speak with Sarah, who reveals how she survived in this camp. Sadly, what’s left of the Escape Shuttle won’t work as it requires a source of power. Therefore, players are guided to the top of the mountain to retrieve a power source that Sarah used to send a distress signal.
After climbing the slope and obtaining the power source, a bunch of Hunting Stonewalker Stalkers will ambush players, so get ready. Return to the camp and insert the power inside the shuttle to use the computer. Read the Telemetry Data - Object Beta and board the Ship in Starfield to travel to the marked location.
After exploring for a bit, players will find the Dauntless Crew’s Crash Site and Sarah realizes that there were survivors. This leads to more exploring in the forest until another Shuttle appears. Inside, there’s a frightened little girl named Sona who turns out to be the daughter of Sarah’s former crew mates. Unfortunately, everyone died and all that was left was their Genetags at a place called the Graveyard. After agreeing to go and retrieve the tags, players will only find nine Genetags as the last one is inside the Greater Silverfish's stomach.
Should Sona Stay Or Leave In Starfield
It’s highly recommended to convince Sona to leave Cassiopeia I as Sarah will immensely dislike leaving the small girl alone on a dangerous Planet. While Sona collects her stuff, Sarah speaks privately with players and a chance arises to seduce her in Starfield.
Once the Protagonists are back in New Atlantis, summarize the mission to the Admiral and check up on Sona at The Lodge to make sure she’s comfortable. Finally, after mourning those who died, players lead Sarah to the Waterfall where they can confess their feelings or remain friends.
Starfield is available now on Xbox Series X/S and PC.
