Throught the Settled Systems of Starfield, there are many factions for players to join. Ryujin Industries is one such faction, located in the vibrant city of Neon on the planet Volii Alpha, the interstellar corporation primarily deals in sabotage and corporate espionage against their competitors. Rather than blasting enemy starships and investigating lost ruins as in some of the other faction quest lines, players who join Ryujin Industries will spend a lot of time sneaking around and either stealing or planting certain objects.

Starfield players will likely need to unlock the requisite stealth skills in order to complete many of these missions, particularly in "Maintaining The Edge". It can also be handy to have several digipicks on hand since the mission will require several doors and chest to be unlocked in order to complete it.

How To Locate The Trident Staryard

Starfield Maintaining The Edge Walkthrough Trident Staryard

The target location for the mission is the Trident Luxury Lines Staryard, a ship-building facility located in orbit around Akila in the Cheyenne star system. Players can grav-jump from Neon to this location relatively easily, without expending too much fuel in the process. Once the Staryard is in sight, players can hail and dock their ships and will be welcomed aboard as a regular customer. It is also possible to browse and purchase Trident ships while visiting, but the facility does not offer upgrades or modifications for current ships.

Once aboard the structure, players will need to make their way down the stairs opposite the main desk at the entrance. The stairway is guarded, but the guard will let players wander past without stopping them. Once downstairs, players will need to head towards the back of the office area, where a woman in green is standing and calculating some designs on a drawing board.

The doors directly beside the board are where players will need to enter, but trying to pick the lock in front of the woman, a designer named Gladys Coffin, will alert her and consequently the guards, to the break-in. Players can either talk to Gladys and irritate her, or simply wait for her to move and have her back facing the door before attempting to pick the lock. There will be plenty of other workers and guards in the area, so it is worth double-checking all sides before entering the room. Following a novice digipick unlock, players will then have to unlock the small chest in which the Prototype Schematic is detected. It is best to perform this action in stealth, too, just in case anyone manages to see inside the room.

Once the schematic has been acquired, players will be free to leave the area and make their way back to their ship. Having done this, return to Imgoen for a debrief as well as the next assignment. Players can also receive a bonus for this mission, much like in previous Ryujin quests, if they manage to complete the entire thing without raising any alarms or being caught in the act of stealing.

Starfield is available now for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
