Starfield gives gamers a large galaxy to explore at their own whim. Bethesda games are always chock-full of hidden Easter eggs in their large open worlds. With that in mind, Starfield players should keep an eye out for ships and space stations while exploring the deep reaches of space.
The Colander is a stranded ship hidden in a faraway star system. Players can easily miss it as there are no missions or quest markers tied to it. This mysterious ship has taken on a frightening creature that has wiped out the entire crew. There is a powerful enemy aboard, so players prepare themselves with strong weapons before entering.
How To Get To The Schrodinger System
Players need to make their way to the Schrodinger star system to find the ship. The Leviathan system is the star underneath Cheyenne. This is the closest star where ships can jump to Schrodinger. Most ships should be able to handle this distance, but it's a good idea to upgrade the grav drive to properly explore the galaxy. This is a high-level area, so players shouldn't be afraid to flee from any fights with enemy ships. Once gamers have made it to the system, they need to travel to the planet of Schrodinger III. The Colander will be in orbit there.
Explore The Colander
Entering the Colander, players will find its inhabitants are long gone. They can then move past the med bay and proceed into the kitchen area.
All the doors on the Colander will be inaccessible to the player. Reading the computer terminals will reveal that a powerful creature was found on a nearby planet. It's obvious from looking at the creepy state of the Colander that it has escaped.
How To Unlock The Security Doors
The only path forward is to the right side of the kitchen area. Using the hatch to drop down a level, players will arrive at the ship's cargo bay.
To the right side, there is a door that requires Master Lockpicking skill to open. Players can look through the window to see something crawling around inside.
Most players will not have that high of a Lockpicking skill, so they will need to go around to the opposite side of the cargo bay. Enter the hall to find a forked path. To the left, players can find a corpse with loot. Backtracking in the other direction, they will find another hatch. Dropping down once more, the mainframe computer on the left can be used to unlock the security doors. Continue on and players will end up back in the main crew quarters area of the ship.
How To Find The Interloper
The door will still be closed when players return to it. From here, they should go left and back up to the kitchen area. The door at the end of the kitchen can now be opened. Continuing down this new path, players will find the Interloper and will be able to fight it head-on.
Starfield is available now on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
