HopeTown is an industrial urban in Starfield that houses the headquarters of one of the largest starship manufacturers: HopeTech. What sets this district apart from others is the availability of exclusive ship models and modifications offered by its vendors. Nonetheless, many Starfield novices, particularly those who are not following the main quests, often face difficulties in locating the coordinates of HopeTown.
To assist those eager to explore this bustling factory town, this guide provides clear directions on how to find HopeTown, along with detailed information about its vendors and intriguing locations.
HopeTown Location
HopeTown is situated on the planet Polvo within the Valo star system. Positioned to the northeast of Alpha Centauri, this system grants players early access to visit HopeTown in the game. Among the four other planets in Valo, HopeTown on Polvo stands out as the primary point of interest.
HopeTown Vendors and Stores
As a small industrial urban, HopeTown is home to only four merchant spots: Best Defense, Pit Stop, Ship Services, and HopeTech Headquarters.
Ship Services
Located near HopeTown's landing pad, Ship Services is a starship component vendor. Players seeking to purchase HopeTech spare parts and upgrades can approach the technician within this booth to inquire about ship modifications.
Best Defense (Firearms Store)
Under the ownership of Carlos Shenton, the Best Defense store operates as a wholesaler of guns and armor. Players looking to trade with this dealer should go past the Ship Services cabin and follow the path to the right.
Pit Stop (Coffee Shop)
A few feet away from the landing pad, players can find HopeTown’s coffee and snack spot, the Pit Stop.
HopeTech Headquarters
Serving as the primary POI in HopeTown, HopeTech is a starship manufacturer. The company’s headquarters can be found in the far east of the town, just behind the coffee shop and firearms store.
Notable Characters in HopeTown
Considering HopeTown’s scale, there are only a handful of interactable NPCs around—four to be more accurate. Of these, only one, Adella Faheem, offers a side quest, and the rest are mostly vendors.
Adella Faheem
Hanging out near the town’s coffee shop, Adella Faheem is a distressed pilot in search of assistance. Betrayed by her employee, she unknowingly carries Contraband items and finds herself pursued by a bounty hunter. Engaging in conversation with Adella Faheem triggers "Captain's Bounty," a brief side quest for players to undertake.
Carlos Shenton
Carlos owns the Best Defense store, the only guns and armor retailer in the city. While he has no side quests to offer, he has some information about the town that players might want to hear.
Ron Hope
The CEO of HopeTech, Ron Hope, is a famous NPC that players get to interact with during the “Where Hope Is Built” mission.
Inaya Rehman
As the spokesperson for HopeTech, Inaya vends the company’s starships. But she also has shipping missions for players interested in making some extra money.
Missions That Take Place in HopeTown
In addition to "Captain's Bounty," HopeTown offers two other missions: "Access Is Key" and "Accidents Happen." These objectives are part of the Ryujin Industries questline, which intertwines with HopeTown due to the rivalry between the two companies, HopeTech and Ryujin.
Starfield is available now for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
