Not only are the long-rumored Starfield controller and headset apparently real, but they are releasing shortly after the Xbox Games Showcase on June 11. Its confirmation there comes as no surprise, but many would think that the duo would drop alongside Starfield's release date in September. However, that doesn't appear to be the case. For the uninitiated, images of a Starfield controller and headset leaked online some time ago, but many believed it wasn't real. A lot of folks thought that it was fan-made or hand-designed, and it was hard to prove anything one way or another. Then, these sets began to appear at retailers and it was basically a done deal. Still, a lot of fans are skeptical, but it seems they shouldn't be for much longer.RELATED: Xbox Exec Suggests 'Bringing an Extra Pair of Underwear' for the Showcase This Starfield leak comes courtesy of Billbil-kun, a leaker with a pristine record of accuracy. They've leaked Epic Games Store titles, PS Plus selections, and much, much more in the past to such a high degree of accuracy that it's hard to doubt them. Fans should still take it with a grain of salt, but Billbil-kun is more reliable than most leaks on the internet. Now, thanks to them, fans know that the Starfield Wireless Controller and Headset will be released on June 11 right after the showcase. They'll also reportedly retail at $79.99 for the controller and $124.99 for the headset.

However, one thing Billbil-kun has yet to be able to confirm is if the Starfield controller looks like the leaked images. It stands to reason they will, especially as Billbil-kun gives a nod to the video above in regard to the headset which matches, but it's impossible to say for certain. At the very least, fans can expect the Starfield controller to be at the showcase and to have it in hands shortly thereafter. The below image is NOT confirmed to be accurate as of this writing.

Releasing a Starfield-themed controller and headset ahead of the game's launch may seem odd, but it seems safe to say that Starfield is easily one of Xbox's most anticipated games. It's the big headliner for the fall 2023 season, and the Xbox Games Showcase is also followed by a Starfield Direct dedicated entirely to the game. It's clear Bethesda and Xbox are going all in, and fans will walk away from the showcase with a lot more information about the upcoming Sci-Fi RPG.

Starfield launches September 6 for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
