There are many resources to mine in StarRupture. Like most games, some resources are common, while others are rare and require base building to obtain. The game encourages players to build multiple bases to mine more resources, but doing so also consumes resources. Because of that, resource management is important in StarRupture.

One of the main resources to mine is the Meteorite Heart, as it’s required to build Base Cores. This guide will help players locate and mine Meteorite Hearts in StarRupture.

How to find a Meteorite In StarRupture

Meteorite Heart is one of the easiest materials to get in StarRupture. You can find it inside Meteorites, which are scattered all over the map and don’t have a specific location. The best way to spot a Meteorite is to look for smoke rising in the distance.

How to mine a Meteorite In StarRupture

Approach the Meteorite, then do either of these:

  • Shoot the glowing areas to get specific Ores. Once all spots are destroyed, the Meteorite will break, giving you a Meteorite Heart.
  • Take some time to shoot the Meteorite in one spot. This takes longer than mining specific spots, but will break the Meteorite in one go, giving you the Meteorite Heart and all the other ores it has.

Once you destroy the Meteorite, you’ll get a Meteorite Heart added to your inventory. It's easy to miss, so be careful where you put it.

Although it's pretty common, the Meteorite Heart is an important material, since you need it to build and upgrade Base Cores. Upgrading the Base Core to level 2 alone takes around 30 Meteorite Hearts, which will need some time to farm and mine. You can also use the Meteorite Heart in the Analyzing Station, with each Meteorite Heart giving 30 Data Points.
