How To Get Water In StarRupture

To get water in StarRupture, you have to find a water source, which usually appears like a small waterway or a lake. You still can't drink from it, but you can search for the plants scattered around those water sources.

This type of plant is an item you can collect and is called a Hydrobulb. It's a consumable item that gives a player 15 points of hydration and can be used in the Analyzing Station. When used in the Analyzing Station, the Hydrobulb gives 5 Data Points. It's usually easy to mass collect them, so they're great for collecting Data Points in StarRupture.

After collecting the Hydrobulb, head to your inventory to find the plant. Press the expand button to see its interaction options. The expand button is usually the right mouse button.

Press the Use button, and the character will drink the Hydrobulb, which will increase their hydration meter.

It's important to regularly collect and use Hydrobulbs as they're the main source of water at the start of StarRupture. Later on, you can upgrade the usage of Hydrobulbs by creating better variations of it, using the Recipe Station. With the right investment, you can make:
