The planet of Arcadia-7 is full of hazards that players need to watch out for in StarRupture. Whether it's the Vermin that roam the planet's surface and don't take too kindly to strangers, the rupture that eradicates most things on the planet's surface every so often, or the toxic fumes and substances you come across, you'll need to make sure you're prepared for them all. One of these hazards is corrosive gases that will prevent you from accessing parts of the map. Fortunately, there is a way to increase corrosion resistance in StarRupture, so you can explore the planet from coast to coast.

How to Increase Corrosion Resistance in StarRupture
Corrosion resistance can be increased by crafting a Corrosion Resistance Plasm at your Food Station, but first, you'll need to unlock its crafting recipe at the Recipe Station.
The Corrosion Resistance Plasm crafting recipe is unlocked by inserting the following into your Recipe Station:
- 40 Glowcaps
- 25 Sulhearts
- 100 Data Points
Glowcaps can only be found in underground caves, identified by the roots that grow over holes in the ground when Arcadia-7 has fully recovered from a heat wave. To enter an underground cave, you need to head to one as soon as a heat wave has finished and the roots blocking the entrance will have been burned away. Glowcaps are the large, yellow/green fungus-looking plants that grow in these cave systems.
Sulhearts are found near any sulfur deposits on Arcadia-7. Sulfur deposits can be found by looking out for large patches of yellow ground with gas rising from them. If you've already come across a sulfur deposit, it'll be marked on your map in bright yellow. The issue with Sulheart farming is that they spawn within the corrosive gas surrounding a sulfur deposit. As such, you'll need to run in and quickly grab Sulhearts before the corrosion deals too much damage.
Finally, Data Points can be obtained by inserting different items into the Analyzer. 100 Data Points is such a small amount that you won't have much trouble getting this for the recipe.
Once you've unlocked the recipe, access your Food Station, and you'll be able to create the Corrosion Res Plasm with 3 Glow Caps and 2 Sulheart. When you need to head into a corrosive area, simply take the Corrosive Res Plasm, and you'll double your resistance to corrosion for 10 minutes. It does have a side effect of increasing your toxicity by 40, but this isn't so much that there's any reason to be concerned.
