Wolfram Plates are one of the many intermediate materials players will need to produce en masse in StarRupture. These are needed for a lot of the higher-tier production requests, and they're needed to upgrade your standing with some of the corporations early on too. Unlike the basic Wolfram Bars, however, Wolfram Plates cannot be manufactured straight away, and if you haven't leveled up your standing with the other corporations, you might not be able to unlock the recipe for this too. How to Get Wolfram Plates in StarRupture
The first thing you need to do to start crafting Wolfram Plates is to unlock its recipe, which can be found in the Recipe Station. The latter is unlocked by reaching level 2 with Moon Energy Corporation.
The Recipe Station contains recipes for a wide variety of items, including both industrial components like Ceramic as well as food. Once you build one in your base, interact with it, then press the Fabricator icon. This will expand into a list of unlockable recipes for the Fabricator building, which includes Wolfram Plates.
The Wolfram Plates recipe is unlocked by inserting the following:
- 600 Wolfram Bars
- 200 Data Points
Crafting 600 Wolfram Bars will take a while, but you can always expand your production to make things go faster. There's a big field of Wolfram Ore to the east of the starting zone, and it's spacious enough for multiple Wolfram-based production lines. Setup a few Ore Extractors and Smelters there, and you'll have enough Wolfram Bars in no time.
As for Data Points, you can get plenty of them by exploring the map. Grab every plant you find, and when Vermin appear, make sure to loot them for parts that you can surrender at the Analyzing Station. To get the most number of Data Points, try searching the abandoned bases scattered around the planet. They usually have containers with items that go for hundreds or even thousands of Data Points when analyzed.
Crashed drones also tend to have items worth tons of Data Points. You can find them on your map by activating nearby Geo Scanners (if any are available).
Once you've unlocked the Wolfram Plates recipe in StarRupture, all you need to do now is set up a production line with an Ore Extractor, a Smelter, and a Fabricator. Set the latter to produce Wolfram Plates, and connect it to some Orbital Cargo Launchers or a larger logistics network with Storage Depots.
