When you first start out in StarRupture, you won't need to worry about your health or the game's survival mechanics too much. It very much eases you into the base building and task completion elements of the game. However, after a while, you'll start to venture further and further away from your base, and encounter more challenging enemies. At this point, you'll want to start making use of all the consumables available to you. That's where harvesting the local plantlife will come in handy, and Glowcaps are an essential part of that in StarRupture. Unlike many of their counterparts, though, Glowcaps can only be obtained for a very small window of time and in one specific place. How to Get Sulfur in StarRupture

Where to Find Glowcaps in StarRupture
Glowcaps can only be found in underground caves, which themselves can only be accessed immediately after a heatwave has taken place and eradicated pretty much all signs of life from the planet's surface.
That's because underground caves normally have vines growing over the tops of them, as shown in the screenshot below.
Any underground cave you've previously found will be marked by either a '?' Icon or by a circle with a fissure running through the middle of it on your map.
These vines can't be destroyed with any of your weapons, and will only disappear in the short space of time after a heatwave has occurred and the planet hasn't fully recovered. In other words, you want to visit one of these locations when the ground is still gray and ashy.
Once you do, you can jump down into the underground cave. Press T to turn on your flashlight to more easily see in the cave, and keep an eye out for the glowing green fungus growing inside the caves. These are Glowcaps, and you'll typically find three to four bunches of them that can be harvested in each underground cave.
What Are Glowcaps Used For in StarRupture?
Glowcaps are used to create resistance plasms to help protect you against the effects of Corrosion, Drain, Infection, and Heat. Three Glowcaps are required in each recipe, and consuming one of these plasms will always net you +40 Toxicity as a trade-off for doubling your resistance to the desired element for 10 minutes.
This is normally more than enough time to help you get whatever you want from an area and get back out before you begin to really feel the effects, or in worst cases, die.
