Where to Get Serpent Root in StarRupture

As you progress in StarRupture, you'll find you need consumable items to help stave off hunger, thirst, and keep your health nice and high. These consumable items need to have their crafting recipes unlocked, however, and that means tracking down some of the different plantlife that you can find growing across Arcadia-7, among other things. Where to Find Serpent Root in StarRupture

Serpent Root can be found in the barren areas of Arcadia-7. These can easily be identified by the ground being a grey/brown with no grass or color really in sight. An example of these barren areas is right by the Grey Owl research outpost, where you can find the Stabilizer blueprint. This outpost is northeast of your starting base location.

Barren areas can also be easily spotted on your map by having a similar grey/brown color to them. Once you find yourself in one of these areas, you're looking for a plant that looks like a small weed sticking out of the ground. I've included a screenshot of what to look out for below.

In my experience, Serpent Roots seem to grow on their own, or at most in a group of two. This is unlike other plants in the game, which typically grow in larger groups.

What Is Serpent Root Used For in StarRupture?

Serpent Root is primarily used for crafting consumable items that are focused on your energy meter. However, it's also used as a supplementary ingredient in other consumables that can help stave off hunger, thirst, or recovering health.

Energy-focused consumables can be incredibly useful if you're planning on venturing far away from your base, as you won't need to constantly slow to a walk to let your energy recharge before you go running again. I've listed all the consumable items that use Serpent Roots below.
