Valve's Steam Deck offers PC gaming on the go. Here are the best Deck Verified games that can be played on the handheld system.

A Reddit user named TyePower shared images of something that they were able to put together: a Steam Deck with a second screen attached to it, similar to what is found on the Nintendo DS. TyePower shows that they have The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D running on the device, a great nod to their main inspiration for attaching the additional screen. While it was already possible to run Nintendo games on the Steam Deck, this modified device should make it easier to play Nintendo DS titles on Valve's system.

Gamer Modifies Their Steam Deck in an Interesting Way

TyePower also posted how they got the second screen on the Steam Deck to work, along with everything that was used to modify the system. The extra screen is a 7-inch portable monitor that was attached using a detachable mount which can be removed when the device is not in use. The portable monitor is powered by a battery pack that is attached to the Steam Deck through the use of magnets. TyePower used a Nintendo emulator that allows a two-window mode that runs while in the desktop feature of the handheld. Other than a few adjustments, the gamer stated that they did not have to do much else to get things up and running. They also mentioned that the device is not too heavy despite the second screen and that the battery life is great.

TyePower's post has gotten over 4,000 upvotes since it was shared. A few gamers stated that they want to build their own dual-screen Steam Deck now that they have seen what TyePower was capable of putting together. One commenter said they are convinced that the Steam Deck can do anything and joked that the system's next update will add arms and the ability to make beef Wellington. TyePower was able to create an interesting mod for the Steam Deck that shows just how capable the hardware really is.
