  • Restore to a previous version: The best way to fix a broken update is to restore your Steam Deck to a previous version. You can do so by pressing the button with the three dots while the device is booting and selecting a previous version from the menu that pops up.
  • Remove Decky: Another reason why your Steam Deck could break after an update could be due to the Decky launcher. To spare yourself from dealing with this issue ever again, delete the launcher. If you do not want to take this route, then delete Decky, update your console, and reinstall Decky.

Another workaround involves deleting plugins that are resulting in error messages.
