Fourleaf Fields has just been announced for Steam, and it already looks like a fun take on Stardew Valley's life/farming sim formula. Fourleaf Fields doesn't have a confirmed release date just yet, but its Steam page offers a nice overview of what would-be players can expect from its Stardew Valley-like gameplay.

Released back in February 2016, Stardew Valley has continued to be one of the most popular cozy games out there, thanks in no small part to its delightful pixel art style, its cast of charming and well-realized NPCs, and its addictive core gameplay loop that encourages both short and lengthy play sessions. While cozy game fans have Stardew Valley's 1.7 update to look forward to, it still doesn't have an official release window. In the meantime, Steam is a great place to find other games that scratch that Stardew Valley itch.

Fourleaf Fields Puts a Fresh Spin on The Stardew Valley Formula

Announced on November 10, 2025, Fourleaf Fields is a cozy farming life sim being developed by BEHEMUTT and published by Voidtrain's HypeTrain Digital. Fourleaf Fields' announcement trailer offers a fairly comprehensive overview of the game, and Stardew Valley fans will immediately spot some familiar features, with top-down crop-growing and animal-raising playing a key role throughout the trailer along with social mechanics.

One of Fourleaf Fields' most intriguing features is a 'Gossip' system. Described on the Steam page as a "tech tree fueled by hearsay," this Gossip system will let players befriend villagers, hear rumors, and discover secrets regarding the townsfolk's interpersonal relationships. Engaging with this system and completing quests for villagers will increase the town's rank, which rewards players with new shops and upgrades. Fourleaf Fields can be played either in solo or co-op, with up to four players being able to join each other.

Gameplay-wise, Fourleaf Fields bears a striking resemblance to Stardew Valley. But what sets Fourleaf Fields apart from its inspiration and its overwhelming competition is that the player is thrown into a world much larger than them. In Fourleaf Fields, the player-character is "no bigger than a carrot," and that's reflected in the gameplay, with players growing pumpkins and strawberries that loom over them and raising snails and ladybugs as livestock.

This isn't the first time developer BEHEMUTT has dabbled in the cozy genre. Nova Lands released back in June 2023, delivering a top-down factory building management experience that garnered a 'Very Positive' rating on Steam with 1,063 reviews. Though no release date has been given for Fourleaf Fields, fans can wishlist the game and sign up for a playtest via its Steam page.
