While things have dwindled slightly since then, the game is still hitting more than 4,000 concurrent players, and it is certainly possible that it could break its record over the upcoming weekend.

With respect to sales, A Game About Digging a Hole is currently the 45th top-selling game on Steam. It is true that this may not be enough to elevate the title to the levels reached by indie smashes like Balatro and Vampire Survivors, but it is certainly a noteworthy accomplishment, particularly for a game with a premise that is quite niche on its face.
