Developed by Shift Up as its first console release, Stellar Blade features a futuristic world where Earth is no longer the domain of humans but rather home to the nefarious Naytiba. Players will take on the role of Eve, a warrior sent as part of the war effort to regain control. As things go, disaster strikes, and it will be up to the player to figure out what's going on and save the day.

That means plenty of exploration, combat, and storytelling along the way, giving you plenty to sink your teeth into before the tale is done. That will equate to quite a lengthy play time, especially for those seeking to see everything the game has to offer. To help you with the planning, here's how long it will take to beat Stellar Blade.

Nier: Automata Director Has High Praise for Stellar Blade

Ahead of Stellar Blade's official release later this year, the game is receiving incredibly high praise from the director of Nier: Automata.

How Long To Beat Stellar Blade

The main story of Stellar Blade will likely take players 12-16 hours to complete, depending on your proficiency in combat and your willingness to go off the beaten path in search of secrets and collectibles. This means beating all the main bosses, gaining access to all the regions, and seeing the story to the end.

However, if you are the type that wants to complete every side objective, collect all of the collectibles and Nano Suits available to Eve, then you are looking at a much more significant playtime. The conservative estimates put a completionist run of Stellar Blade to be around 30-40 hours. The game features plenty of cutscenes that cannot be skipped, and traveling between areas can be time-consuming, even with the help of fast travel.

There are also a ton of collectibles to find and upgrades for Eve to unlock. With challenging and optional enemies lying in wait for many of the regions and side quests, the playtime will be prolonged for those not entirely comfortable with the focus on combat. You can always toggle the difficulty down to Story Mode, but there is still inherently a level of challenge to overcome.
