Stellar Blade developer Shift Up has released the 1.1.2 patch for the popular action-adventure game. The new patch will not be as significant for PlayStation 5 players, but it contains a few changes that could add some necessary polish to the more recent PC version of Stellar Blade.

Originally released as a PS5 exclusive, Stellar Blade quickly became a big hit. Earlier this month, Stellar Blade was finally released on PC, and its Complete Edition made its way to the PS5. In this new version, which was made available to PC gamers from the start, players have access to 25 new Nano Suits, a new boss, more facial animations for different languages, and other goodies.

Now, Shift Up has released a new patch for Stellar Blade, which is mostly focused on fixing bugs. The new 1.1.2 patch comes with a few general fixes, such as correcting an issue in which interactions with XION NPCs were not working, one where using Retribution on Gigas in the Wasteland/Boss Challenge could cause problems, and more. While only a single issue was specifically fixed in the PS5 version of Stellar Blade, the PC port received almost a dozen specific fixes. The PC-specific issues that were corrected with the patch include a problem in which some monsters would attack Eve in situations where they should not, screenshots not being saved after using Photo Mode, and more.

It’s good to see Shift Up quickly continuing to support Stellar Blade after the new PC port was released, and it makes sense, considering how wildly popular the game currently is. Stellar Blade recently reached three million units sold, and reports indicate that over a million of these sales were for the PC version.

Recent reports have also shown that Shift Up may not be finished with Stellar Blade just yet. According to a post from the Korean website PlayForum, Shift Up could be working on a Nintendo Switch 2 port for Stellar Blade.

Apart from the upcoming port, the developers also seem to be working on a sequel for Stellar Blade. Not much is known about the project, however, with the title only appearing during a recent company presentation, which implied that the sequel could be out as early as 2026. In any case, the port rumors should be taken with a grain of salt, though a release for Nintendo Switch 2 would likely be yet another major boon for Shift Up.
