Stellar Blade developer Shift Up unveiled the first trailer for the game’s upcoming DLC during Sony’s State of Play on February 12. The new Stellar Blade trailer highlighted details about the game's collaboration with Goddess of Victory: Nikke, hinting at new boss fights and outfits.
Released back in April 2024 solely for the PlayStation 5, Stellar Blade quickly became a huge hit, selling over a million units by June. Despite being in the middle of some controversies regarding the perceived sexualization of the game’s protagonist Eve soon after release, Stellar Blade gained mostly positive reviews, achieving an average critic score of 83 on OpenCritic. With the game’s success, several free updates and some paid DLC have been announced.
Stellar Blade Dev Has Reassuring News for Steam Deck Users
Speaking about the forthcoming release of Stellar Blade’s PC port, Shift Up reveals positive news for those who plan to play it on the Steam Deck.
Shift Up revealed the first trailer for Stellar Blade’s upcoming DLC during the February 2025 State of Play. It was already known that Stellar Blade would cross over with Goddess of Victory: Nikke, which was also developed by Shift Up and released in 2022. However, the new trailer revealed that the DLC will be available in June 2025, and has given some insight on what may be offered as part of the collaboration. In the video, fans can see Stellar Blade’s protagonist Eve using a new outfit, which is inspired by Rapi, a character from Goddess of Victory: Nikke. Apart from that, a new boss with a red mask appears at the end of the trailer, as well as a new area, which will likely be featured in the DLC.
New Stellar Blade DLC Will Be Out in June 2025
Unfortunately, Shift Up did not reveal exactly how much new content fans can expect from the DLC, but some new costumes and the new boss are essentially guaranteed. Last year, Stellar Blade had a Nier: Automata crossover DLC, which introduced four new outfits for Eve, one accessory, and some story content. It's possible that fans should expect something similar in this upcoming DLC.
The trailer also confirmed Stellar Blade’s release date window for PC, which will also happen in June, and a Steam page for the title has appeared online. The PC version of Stellar Blade has been eagerly awaited by fans since August 2024, when Shift Up confirmed that the port would come out “in the near future.” It’s possible that the PC version of the game will offer better graphics for gamers with powerful GPUs and, more importantly, it will bring the popular action game to a wider player base and allow for possible mods.
