Stellar Blade first launched in 2024 as a PlayStation 5 exclusive and quickly became a breakout success for Shift Up, selling over a million units in just two months. Set in a stylish, semi-open sci-fi world, the game combines high-speed combat with RPG mechanics. On May 30, Stellar Blade officially confirmed its PC demo is now available in nearly 250 regions worldwide, and early signs suggest it’s gaining serious momentum on Steam. According to SteamDB, the demo has already peaked at 26,443 concurrent players, which is impressive considering Stellar Blade has been out on PlayStation 5 for over a year. While the demo being free certainly helped, this strong response highlights growing anticipation for the PC release and marks a major milestone for Korean developer Shift Up.

Stellar Blade Demo Runs Smoothly on PC

Stellar Blade's PC demo seems to perform smoothly across a variety of hardware setups, including handheld devices like the Steam Deck, and currently holds an approximately 92% positive rating on Steam. The demo offers a solid chunk of the full game, including the beginning of the first stage, the initial boss fight, and some character customization options. To help players prepare, Shift Up also shared recommended specs for laptop users, highlighting the Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti (4 GB) as the baseline for running the game at 1080p, 60 FPS on low settings.

Beyond the demo, fans of Stellar Blade have more to look forward to. A long-awaited crossover event with Goddess of Victory: Nikke will be officially unveiled during a livestream on June 7. This collaboration will include new characters, story content, and gameplay inspired by Stellar Blade’s universe. On top of that, Shift Up recently confirmed a sequel to the game is in development, signaling that the franchise is just getting started.
