With unlockable frame rates and both ultrawide 21:9 and super ultrawide 32:9 support, players are encouraged to push their game to the limit. Stellar Blade PC Release and Free PS5 Update Release Date
- June 11, 2025
Fans are eager to see the launch of the game go smoothly after recent issues prompted outrage from prospective PC players. In May, Stellar Blade was suddenly region locked on PC, with over 100 countries unable to access the game's Steam listing. The issue seems to have been fixed, and players are happy to see that there is no need to link a PSN account when playing the game on PC. However, Shift Up has decided to keep the controversial Denuvo DRM system in the game, something fans still hope will be remedied in the future.
While Stellar Blade is sure to be a big hit on PC, its developer is starting to move on to its next project. This week, Shift Up revealed more about Project Spirits, a title meant to be played across multiple platforms with a focus on "Eastern Fantasy." The new IP will be largely narrative-driven and will include a vast open world and RPG elements. While there is no release window for the title, fans are already excited to see what the Korean studio has in store.
