Players of Stellar Blade will have to wait a little bit longer for the promised photo mode. The feature has been teased for Stellar Blade several times over the past few weeks, leading many to believe that it was just around the corner, but a recent post by developer Shift Up shows that may not be the case.

Stellar Blade is a game that is often lauded for its visuals, both in environments and character design, but with a lack of photo mode, it can be difficult for players to truly appreciate it. A photo mode has been promised in the past, and recent announcements had fans of Stellar Blade excited about the potential release of a photo mode coming soon. As posted to the official Twitter account for Stellar Blade, the photo mode will have to wait "a little while longer," but implores players to get ready to enjoy summer in the meantime, sporting a photo of Stellar Blade protagonist EVE stretching in a swimsuit. This comes just two days after the previous tweet, which led to many fans believing the photo mode was set for release soon. A roadmap update for Stellar Blade was revealed during a presentation in June and placed a photo mode coming to the game in August, with new skins set to arrive in October, but with the more recent announcements, it seems that these launches may be getting flipped, with the possibility of getting some summer themed skins such as the one EVE is wearing in the tweet before the launch of photo mode.

Fans Must Wait a Little Longer For Stellar Blade's Photo Mode

A photo mode is one of Stellar Blade's most sought-after features and has been since the game was confirmed to not launch with one. Despite this, the supposed delay doesn't seem to have fans upset. More are concerned that the swimsuit skin on display in the tweets will be toned down upon release, similar to how many other skins were censored not long after the release of Stellar Blade. There is currently no word on an official release date for either the skins or the photo mode, so fans will have to wait and see how they both turn out.

Fans have been wanting a PC port of the game since it was released, and recent rumors have suggested that a PC version of Stellar Blade is on the horizon. With work supposedly beginning on this port already, other aspects of development may be affected, including the release of photo mode. Players of Stellar Blade will get their photo mode eventually, however, even if it does take a little longer than planned.
