There are multiple chest types to be found in Stellar Blade, with many of them needing a passcode to unlock. Oftentimes, these passcodes can be found near the chest on a body, while other chests found in the open areas will require players to explore much further to find the code.
The Great Desert is the second open area players will be able to explore and has five chests that require passcodes to unlock. While there are other chests that can be easier to access, these passcode chests offer much better loot. Where to Find The Third Road Passcode in Stellar Blade
Starting from Adam's ship in the Great Desert, start heading west. As you approach a large destroyed structure, Eve will ask Adam what it was and that will indicate you're on the right path if this is your first time heading this way. Just to the right of the large tube sticking out of the side will be a few cargo containers mostly buried in the sand, with a human body on the top. There will be a few Naytiba to defeat before anything can be done and watch the sand for those that can travel below unseen.
Next to the body will be an item that can be picked up and will contain what is essentially the passcode. This riddle and set of letters will allow Eve to enter a code into the chest but won't clearly say which are correct. The riddle can be deciphered by taking note of the title and the opening sentences. There are multiple references to the number three, so players can get the passcode by entering every third symbol in the line provided in the clue.
For players seeking the answer to the riddle, they can simply head to the chest and enter the passcode "λλλλλλ" to open the chest and get the large sum of gold within.

Where To Find The Third Road Chest in Stellar Blade
Exploring the Great Desert can have players accidentally come across the passcode first before finding the chest it goes to. Luckily, this chest isn't far away and can be found by heading further west from where the passcode is found. Towards the edge of the map is a stone statue with pillars behind it on a stone platform.
Head towards the statue and take out the Naytiba around it. There will be two tentacles hiding in the sand around the stone platform that will appear once you begin fighting the smaller Naytiba, so it would be safer to first lure the smaller Naytiba toward you then fight the tentacles on their own. Once all Naytiba have been killed, the Third Road Chest can be found behind the stone statue.
