After EVE defeats Tachy in Stellar Blade, her next destination is the Great Desert. The monsters in this area can be unexpectedly strong. However, this quest will only become available after completing the "Scavenger's Story" side quest. To complete the quest, you must fight the Behemoth in the Great Desert before you find her body, but you'll get the Sky Ace outfit as a reward and unlock the Sisterly Love Trophy/Achievement.
Where to Find the Behemoth in the Great Desert
After speaking to Kaya at Sister's Junk in Xion, go to the ship area. However, before you speak to Adam and travel to the Great Desert, make sure you level up your skills if you have any available skill points and purchase health items and as many WB Pumps as you can. The WB Pumps will allow you to revive EVE if she falls in battle. You can only use it once per battle, but if you need to revive outside the arena area to fight the Behemoth again, it's useful to have another one stored ready.
To find the Behemoth in the Great Desert, head to the Northern Desert area and track the Encounter mission on your map. Keep heading north and avoid fighting any enemies on the way. You'll eventually arrive at a rocky area with a small path; head down the path to reach the Behemoth.
If you die in battle, you will respawn on the pathway. Therefore, it’s useful to have as many WB Pumps as possible, but only use them if you've worn the Behemoth down significantly.
How to Beat the Behemoth in the Great Desert
The Behemoth in the Great Desert is a powerful enemy and will cause you some problems, so don't be surprised if you require a few attempts to learn its attack patterns. Use the following steps to beat it:
- Learn how to counter its claw attacks, which can come in twos or threes.
- Dodge its wind attacks.
- When it's stunned, use EVE's combos and Beta Attacks if you have any stored. The Cross Wave attack is the best because it'll knock the Behemoth down.
- When the Behemoth leaps in the air, run and dodge to avoid its damage.
- After taking off a significant chunk of its health, the Behemoth will roar and enter its second phase.
- It will now attack with three Wind Attacks, so run and dodge as quickly as possible.
- Continue using counterattacks, followed by Retribution attacks and the Cross Wave.
- You should have Burst Attacks stored, so use the Tempest or Punishing Edge with the disable skill active to knock it down.
- When it becomes sufficiently worn down, use Tachy Mode to end the fight and ensure you don't take any damage while it's active.
After the fight, interact with the dead body to confirm that it's Kara, then opt to return to Sister's Junk to give Kaya the bad news. Once complete, you'll get the Sky Ace outfit and the Sisterly Love trophy.
