On April 2nd, 2025, Variety reported that Shudder and RLJE Films bought the worldwide rights to Abraham's Boys, which stars Bosch actor Titus Welliver. Brady Hepner, who appears in the Blumhouse horror movie The Black Phone, is also a cast member, along with Aurora Perrineau, Judah Mackey, and Jocelin Donahue. Abraham's Boys is directed by Natasha Kermani, who has a background in horror, including the 2020 horror movie Lucky and the segment "TKNOGD" in the 2003 found footage movie V/H/S/85.

Abraham's Boys sounds like one of the most terrifying movies about Dracula as it's basically a sequel to the classic and unnerving story. The film is about Rudy and Max Van Helsing whose father, Abraham Van Helsing, is a vampire hunter who is connected to Dracula. Fans who enjoy Stephen King's horrifying and fascinating stories will also enjoy Joe Hill's work, which includes the popular novels The Fireman, Horns, Heart-Shaped Box, and NOS4R2, along with the short story "The Black Phone" which was turned into the 2022 movie. Daniel Radcliffe starred in the movie adaptation of Horns, which was released in 2013.

King has collaborated with Hill and his other son, Owen King, who is also an author. King and Hill co-wrote short story In The Tall Grass, which was published in Esquire in June/July and August 2012. The story was made into a Netflix movie that premiered in 2019. Owen and Stephen King also co-wrote the 2017 book Sleeping Beauties. Owen's other work includes the novels Double Feature and The Curator, which were published in 2013 and 2023.

King has posted about several TV shows and movies recently, from the unique Noah Wyle Max medical drama The Pitt to the eerie robot thriller Companion. While King often praises his son Hill's work, Hill has also given several interviews and talked about his legendary author father. In an interview with Writer's Digest, Hill explained that he wasn't sure about letting people know that King was his dad for a while. He wanted to get a book deal because he was a good writer, not because of his dad's name. Hill said:

"I needed to feel like I was succeeding on my own merits, not because my dad was someone famous. I'm a little bit more secure now, and in many ways NOS4R2 has a lot of joking references to Stephen King novels in it. In some ways, NOS4R2 is a book about Stephen King novels."

While waiting to find out when they can watch Abraham's Boys on Shudder, fans have a lot of King adaptations to get excited about. There is the upcoming Netflix remake of the creepy dog story Cujo, although there is no release date at this time since the movie was recently announced. Fans can check out Mike Flanagan's The Life of Chuck, which will come out on June 6th, 2025. Then, on September 12th, 2025, the apocalyptic tale The Long Walk will be released in theaters.

While the 1983 adaptation of Stephen King's novel Cujo changed the conclusion, that shouldn't be the case with the upcoming Netflix remake.
