GTA 5 star Steven Ogg feels "nothing" about Grand Theft Auto 6, having said as much in a recent interview. As he explains it, he's just not into video games, and the fact that GTA 6 may very well be the most anticipated game of all time doesn't phase him at all.
Steven Ogg portrayed Trevor Philips in Grand Theft Auto 5. While his performance yielded one of the most memorable characters in a game filled to the brim with strong personalities, his lack of enthusiasm for video games has previously prompted some fans to question whether he dislikes Trevor and the level of fame that this role brought to him.

Although Ogg has previously firmly rejected that notion, calling GTA 5's Trevor an "awesome" character, that doesn't change the fact he just isn't into video games. This state of affairs was once again highlighted in a recent convention interview that saw Ogg questioned about how excited he is for GTA 6. "I feel nothing inside," he replied matter-of-factly. "I'm not a gamer." He elaborated by noting he had never played a single video game in his life, not even the one that made him so famous among GTA fans.
Continuing the interview, Ogg recalled a fan once urging him to play GTA 5 because it was excellent, to which he replied by suggesting they read Fyodor Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment, citing the same reason. "Books are my thing," Ogg explained, as GTA 5’s Franklin actor Shawn Fonteno interjected. The clip drew a mix of shrugs and frustrations from fans who still strongly associate Ogg with the role of Trevor.
The social media reactions to the interview partly reflect a long-running gap between audience expectations and Ogg's own detachment from gaming, even as he's engaged with the fandom at events, as was the case here. Earlier in 2025, the 51-year-old actor cheekily floated the idea of having a Trevor cameo in GTA 6 just to have him killed off immediately, underscoring his willingness to play with the character's legacy despite not being a player himself.

Following its most recent delay, GTA 6 is on track to hit the market on May 26. It will be released day one for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with the PC port yet to be officially confirmed. Based on Rockstar's recent-history track record, a PC release could arrive in late 2027 or early 2028. GTA 6 pre-orders are yet to open, with the game's edition and pricing details still being kept under wraps.
