Growing crops is one of the best ways to earn money in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. Players will begin their days in Forgotten Valley on their father's old farm. They will have the chance to buy animals and plant crop seeds to start cultivating gold.
Many kinds of crops, including vegetables, melons, and fruit trees, are available to grow. Tree Crops grow on a different schedule than regular crops, so players must learn to take care of them. Regular crops must be watered twice daily, but many players wonder if the same is required for Tree Crops in the A Wonderful Life remake.
Do You Have to Water Trees in A Wonderful Life Remake?
Players can buy standard Tree Crops from Vesta's Farm or eventually grow Hybrid Tree Cops. Tree Crops require up to six tiles in a crop field to grow, and unlike regular crops, they don't need to be watered to thrive. Before Tree Crops start flowering and producing fruit, they must mature to full-grown, which will take several days.
Players will know their Tree Crops are full-grown once they are tall and full of leaves. Every Tree has a seasonal schedule that dictates when its fruit will be ready for harvest.
Players can harvest Tree Crops about twice before they run out. To get fruit, stand underneath a Tree and shake it until the yellow square around it turns blue. See below for a complete Tree Crop growth schedule:

The low-grade soil crop field closest to the chicken coop is the best place to plant Tree Crops. This leaves room at the other crop field for regular crops. Players will eventually unlock a third crop field with amazing soil twice the size of both starter crop fields.
If Players use fertilizer on Tree Crops daily, the fruit will increase in grade value and can be sold for more gold. Fertilizer can be purchased from Vesta or harvested using the Fertilizer Maker farm upgrade. The upgrade costs 45,000G and can be built using the farm Ledger.
If players don't use fertilizer on the Tree Crops, they can get the Seed Maker and turn them back into crop seeds which sell for more gold. The Seed Maker is another farm upgrade, but there is a method to get it for free. So, players can turn quite the profit from their Tree Crop, and they are significantly less maintenance to take care of.
Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is now available for PC, PS5, Switch, and Xbox Series X/S.
