Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is a cozy life simulation game that focuses on building a farm and getting to know the thriving community in Forgotten Valley. Players will meet the unique characters in the little village and even get a chance to romance some of the NPCs. In fact, meeting a life partner is so vital that the game ends if players aren't married after Year One.
While there are several options for a potential partner in A Wonderful Life, Nami is one of the more closed-off and mysterious locals. However, underneath that standoffish exterior is a traveler with a curious mind and desire for adventure. Still, Nami is challenging to please, so players may need a little guidance if they want to marry her.
How To Increase Nami's Affection
The best way to increase Nami's affection level is to give her gifts and talk to her daily. Players can check her affection level by reading her diary or via the menu in their bag. She has a flexible schedule she follows, so players can find her easily if they know what locations she frequents. Since she is adventurous, her day-to-day routine shifts slightly.
Nami usually starts her mornings around 9:00 AM hanging out inside her room at the Inn. Around 10:00 AM, she will leave to explore Forgotten Valley's ponds and beaches or visit her friends. Her favorite spots include Turtle Pond, the Beach, the Forest, Gordy's House, and Bluebird Cafe. Of course, players can find her around midnight back at the Inn.
Nami's Favorite Gifts
Players can talk to Nami daily to increase her affection slightly, but giving her gifts is the most efficient way. To give a gift, hold the item and show it to her. Nami's favorite gifts include the following items:
- Soups
- Clay Items and Fossils
- Trick Blue Flowers
Soups are her favorite and can be made using recipes picked up from notes around the village or passed down by the Nature Sprites. Milky Soup is the best option because it requires only Grade B or above milk, but she also loves Sweet Potato Soup. Players can cook by interacting with the sink in their house.
Clay Items and Fossils are found at the Dig Site. It's open from 10 AM to 5 PM, except when the traveling salesman, Van, comes to town. They are on the same level as Trick Blue Flowers. Trick Blue Flowers grow in Autumn and are eventually added to Van's inventory for 100G.
Festivals
Players can also ask Nami on a date during several festivals each season. The Summer Fireworks Festival and the Winter Starlight Festival are the perfect places to increase affection with Nami.
The Summer Fireworks occur on Summer 2 around 6:00 PM. Players can visit the beach or return to their house to trigger the event, and then choose Nami to ask on a date. Just ensure that when Nami comments on the fireworks, say Charlie and Cole did a great job.
The Winter Starlight Festival occurs on Winter 5 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. To trigger the event, go to Gustafa's House or the farmhouse. Players will get the opportunity to make a wish, and they can ask for a closer relationship with Nami.
All Nami Heart Events
As Nami's affection level increases, players will unlock memorable cut scenes that give more insight into Nami's past and disposition. They are also great opportunities to get closer to her as long as players don't say the wrong thing and upset her. There are five Heart events, plus an Introduction, Proposal, Engagement, and Marriage cutscene players can experience with Nami.

How to Marry Nami
When Nami has a high enough affection level, players can propose to her with a Blue Feather. Takakura first explains that Blue Feathers are used for marriage proposals, but are expensive. Luckily, players will get one for free during their first year in Forgotten Valley. During Summer, the Nature Sprites will gift them a Blue Feather they found.
If players don't propose to Nami (or anyone else), Takakura will make them pick a partner at the end of Year One. As long as her affection is high enough, she will be an option.
Show Nami the Blue Feather like any other gift, triggering the Proposal cutscene. Alternatively, if players complete Nami's final Heart Event, they can ask her to move in with them, which has the same result as gifting the feather. The Marriage Cutscene will occur after players sleep on the last day of Winter.
During the wedding, players can choose to have a boy or girl one day. There is also the option for it to be random, and the cutscene will end with a time skip to when they have a toddler. Then players can pick back up on their farming duties in Spring with an expanded house, wife, and child.
