Throughout the last few seasons of Stranger Things, Steve Harrington (played by Joe Keery) has become a fan-favorite character. He started off as a bit of a foil to Will's older brother, Jonathan, but he has arced nicely since then and become very likable. His babysitter/mentor relationship with Dustin is one of the fanbase's favorite pairings throughout seasons two and three.

Fans can definitely expect to see Steve Harrington back when Stranger Things season 4 (volume 1) arrives and hopefully there will be some more iconic babysitting moments that pair the older character with some of the original Strangers Things kid crew (who are now high schoolers). That said, the kids aren't Steve's only friends these days and the trailer suggests he'll be reconnecting with the other older teens, as well.

During a recent roundtable interview with the cast of Stranger Things season 4 (volume 1), the conversation briefly turned to Steve’s babysitter-style relationship with the kids and whether he might ever show himself the same kind of care and protection he shows to everyone else who finds themselves in harm's way while monsters and horrors invade Hawkins...

“Who is my favorite kid… Wow this will get me in big trouble. Steve is pretty close with Dustin. Steve is a little sacrificial in nature and definitely wants to make sure everyone is safe. Him and Robin are each other's best advocates.” - Joe Keery

At that point, as Joe was pondering whether Steve might ever really show some self-care in Stranger Things season four and look out for himself, season three cast addition Maya Hawke chimed in to reassure Joe that her character, Robin Buckley, has Steve’s back…

“I’ll babysit you. And you can babysit me.” - Maya Hawke

Steve and Robin were a popular pairing during their shared season three plot in Starcourt Mall and hopefully fans can see that friendship continue to grow when season four arrives later this month. There was definitely a bit of a teaser towards the end of season three that Robin and Steve's antics would continue outside of Starcourt Mall - perhaps at Family Video. Based on the conversation during the interview, it seems like the duo definitely still have each other's backs.

Be sure to check back over the coming week for more features, news, and stories as Stranger Things season 4 (volume 1) arrives.
