There's an awful lot to love about Stray, though its most endearing aspect is undoubtedly its fantastic feline main protagonist. This cute little kitty can perform all sorts of unique actions, including meowing on command and nuzzling up against the legs of unsuspecting robots. Although these adorable actions rarely tend to serve any real purpose gameplay-wise, they do help to make the character feel more believable and many of them have trophies attached to them as well.
There are actually two trophies tied to the act of scratching, the first of which, "Territory," requires players to scratch at least once in all twelve chapters of Stray. Tho unlock the other, players will need to scratch the vinyl record while inside the club in Chapter 10. Unfortunately, finding the record in question is not so simple, nor is knowing how to actually go about scratching it once it has been located. To combat this, this guide will cover everything that players need to know about the "Scratch" trophy in Stray.
How to Scratch the Vinyl in the Club
One might think that the most obvious place to look for a vinyl record in a nightclub would be the DJ's turntables, but this isn't actually the case. Unfortunately, this isn't immediately obvious, as going over to the turntables will reveal a greyed-out Triangle button prompt, suggesting that scratching may well be possible if players can somehow distract the DJ. Looking just a little closer, however, will reveal that there isn't actually a record on the turntable to begin with, so players will have to find one before they can unlock the "Scratch" trophy.
Thankfully, there is a record not too far away, meaning that players won't need to wait too much longer to make their Djing debut. If they head out onto the dance floor, they'll find a 12-inch vinyl record sitting on one of the tables on the left side of the dance floor while looking out from the bar. They'll need to pick it up by pressing the Triangle button and then carry it over to the turntables up on the stage. After placing the record onto the one on the left, a new track will begin playing and players will be able to unlock the "Scratch" trophy by pressing the Triangle button and then tapping the shoulder buttons as prompted.
Stray is available now on PS4, PS5, and PC.
