Unlike most modern video games, Stray doesn't offer much in the way of customization. That's not to say that the appearance of the game's cute little playable kitty can't be changed at all though, with players able to acquire special badges to add a bit more flair to the cat's adorable jacket. Sadly, however, one or two of them can be a little tricky to find, so those hoping to find every badge in Stray and unlock the "Badges" trophy may need a little help.
There are six of these badges in total, one of which players will get automatically as part of the main story. The other five can be found in the game's hub areas, with one in the slums, one in Antvillage, and three in Midtown. Players desperate to customize their kitty can also get themselves a snazzy rainbow jacket, though doing so will require them to find all 27 of B-12's memories in Stray.

Where to Find the Music Badge (The Slums)
Players are given the Music Badge by Morusque after finding all eight pieces of sheet music in Stray. These can be picked up in various locations throughout the slums and are available during any chapter that takes place in the area. To get the Music Badge, players will have to give each piece of sheet music to Morusque and wait for him to play them on his guitar.
- Sheet Music 1 can be found on some boxes in Momo's apartment after passing through a gap in the bars on one of the doors.
- Sheet Music 2 is on a patio table on a balcony to the right of the window that leads into Clementine's apartment.
- Sheet Music 3 is stuck to a large picture of a robot on the lower floor of Elliot programming. Players will need to scratch the door to get inside on their first visit.
- Sheet Music 4 can be traded with Azooz at the marketplace for one Energy Drink Can.
- Sheet Music 5 is on one of the tables in the upstairs area of Dufer Bar.
- Sheet Music 6 is on a shelf to the right of the bed in Clementine's apartment.
- Sheet Music 7 is on the music stand of the piano in Doc's apartment. Players will need to translate the note on the bed in order to get the key and then knock over a pile of nearby books to find the safe.
- Sheet Music 8 is inside a locked safe in a pile of debris just past where Morusque hangs out. The code to open the safe in the slums is 1283.
Where to Find the Outsider Badge (The Slums)
Players will get the Outsider Badge as part of the main story shortly after finding the secret lab and repairing the Broken Tracker in Chapter 6 of Stray. Once they've done so, Seamus will hand over the badge so that his father knows that he can trust players when they eventually find him in Chapter 7.
Where to Find the Plant Badge (Antvillage)
Malo gives players the Plant Badge in exchange for three colored plants. Finding the yellow, red, and purple plants in Stray is relatively straightforward, though will require players to explore Antvillage pretty thoroughly. The yellow plant is just past where players meet Malo, the red plant is down at ground level, and the purple plant is growing on a tree not far from where Zbaltazar is meditating.
Where to Find the Cat Badge (Midtown)
The Cat Badge can be found locked away inside a safe in Midtown. To reach it, players will need to hop through the window of the yellow electronics shop, which is not too far from the giant hologram in the center of the area. The code to open the safe in Midtown is 8542.
Where to Find the Police Badge (Midtown)
In order to find the Police Badge, players will need to head down the alleyway between the clothing store and the Peacemaker office. They'll know if it's the right one if they see some Outsiders graffiti on the wall at the end. Assuming they're in the right place, they should climb up the nearby pipes and air conditioning units and onto some metal awnings. From there, they'll be able to continue climbing the wall directly above the graffiti and then jump up through an open window into a jail cell. They'll find the badge by interacting with the dead robot inside.
Where to Find the Neco Badge (Midtown)
Players will get the Neco Badge from a Neco Corp employee while infiltrating the factory to steal the atomic battery. The employee in question is searching for his lost keys between the first two stealth sections of the factory and will ask players to help him look. They'll be able to find the factory worker's lost keys by jumping over to their right when they reach the section with the floating barrels and can then open up a shortcut back to the robot by pulling a nearby lever. Players will get the badge after returning the keys, as well as the "Badges" trophy if this is their final badge.
Stray is available now on PS4, PS5, and PC.
