Streamer xQc is Being Sued by Adept

Twitch streamer xQc faces another legal battle with his ex-girlfriend, Adept, who has filed a lawsuit in California seeking substantial financial damages. The turbulent relationship between Twitch personalities xQc and Adept has drawn significant public attention over the past few years, marked by ongoing disputes and previous legal challenges.

The lawsuits between xQc and Adept largely revolve around disagreements concerning various assets, particularly xQc’s McLaren. In March 2024, xQc publicly disclosed his intention to initiate legal proceedings to regain possession of his $300,000 McLaren. Later, in May, xQc revealed that he had filed three additional lawsuits against Adept, which stemmed from a recorded phone call she played during a stream. The call mainly featured an argument regarding xQc's alleged donation of 100 Twitch subscriptions to a female streamer he had interacted with on a Grand Theft Auto 5 roleplay server.

Now, Adept has reportedly filed a new lawsuit against xQc, bringing forward claims of domestic violence, alleging he pushed her face into his shoulder, which led to a police response and an Emergency Protective Order. The suit also revisits a previous sexual battery claim from Texas and accuses xQc of inciting harassment from his fanbase, who she claims often refers to her disparagingly. Additionally, she alleges that xQc’s editors have contributed to this harassment by posting clips of his streams with defamatory titles, which she believes has damaged her reputation, caused sponsorship losses, and reduced her streaming viewership. Adept is seeking $245,000 in damages, with additional punitive compensation potentially exceeding $1 million USD.

XQc's Response to Adept's Newly Filed Lawsuit

During an October 20 stream, Twitch and Kick star xQc addressed the situation, sharing that Adept has allegedly demanded a $10 million settlement. Expressing frustration, xQc remarked that while he could delve into the topic at length, he preferred not to, stating it’s “just sad at this point.” He also maintained that he had already “won in court” on related issues and dismissed the allegations as baseless. Then, on October 24, he took to Twitter, directing his moderators to allow open discussion of lawsuit-related information, asserting that details are publicly accessible online and emphasizing that he isn’t under any obligation to stay silent about the case.

While the resolution of this latest lawsuit remains unclear, it appears the legal disputes between xQc and Adept are far from over. Last month, reports indicated that xQc's $500,000 lawsuit against Adept had been dismissed, though he remains determined to reclaim his McLaren and BMW despite these setbacks.
