Street Fighter 6 has received a new update that adds Darkstalkers-themed content to the game. Capcom recently collaborated with SNK, bringing the beloved Terry Bogard to Street Fighter 6. Now, players are getting ready to enjoy the month of Halloween in style.

While Street Fighter is one of Capcom's most popular franchises, it's no different with Darkstalkers. The series debuted in the mid-1990s and became a hit by presenting a fighting game whose cast is made up of werewolves and vampires. This roster produced some characters that would eventually become audience favorites, such as Felicia and Morrigan, both fighters becoming recurring names in the Marvel Vs. Capcom games. With five games, ports, and adaptations for other media, Darkstalkers remains a franchise that fans hold dear.

Now, Darkstalkers is making a comeback as part of the new crossover with Street Fighter 6. Available until October 22, players can purchase the Darkstalkers Fighting Gala Pass for 250 Fighting Coins ($5 USD) in the in-game store, and unlock 30 levels of rewards by accumulating Kudos by completing weekly challenges. Some of the rewards include gear that will transform players' avatar into the werewolf Jon Talbain. The son of a human mother and a werewolf father, Talbain is one of the fighters featured in the first Darkstalkers and has appeared in almost every game in the series.

Street Fighter 6 Gets Darkstalkers-Themed DLC

Street Fighter 6 players can unlock rewards from the Darkstalkers pass in both the paid and free tracks, with the paid track having items such as a photo frame, challenger screen, titles, and music. This is yet another collaboration for the fighting game's roster through the Fighting Pass, a pass that brings cosmetics with a different theme every month. Back in March, players saw a crossover with another Capcom IP, bringing cosmetics and items in a collaboration between Mega Man and Street Fighter 6.

While Street Fighter 6 players celebrate the new Fighting Pass, the future of Morrigan and her friends remains uncertain. The most recent appearance of Darkstalkers was in 2022, when all five games in the series were included in the Capcom Fighting Collection, which was released for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. As for new games, it's not known when the next one will come, but with Capcom considering reviving long-forgotten franchises, Darkstalkers fans wait to find out when werewolves and vampires will finally be seen fighting in a new game.
