Street Fighter 6 has shared a new Elena gameplay trailer. The charismatic capoeirista first seen in Street Fighter 3: New Generation will be the next DLC character arriving in Street Fighter 6. With this, Capcom wraps up the Season 2 releases, which brought three other equally iconic names from fighting games.

The first Street Fighter 6 Year 2 character was M. Bison, released on June 26, 2024. Capcom gave the villain a new makeover, and instead of the famous Shadaloo uniform, he now has long white hair and covers his face with a torn cape. In September of the same year, it was Terry Bogard's turn to join Street Fighter 6, expanding the roster with SNK's poster boy. On February 5, 2025, another fan favorite arrived in the game, with Mai Shiranui becoming playable. Now, Street Fighter 6 reveals what to expect from Elena, who will soon be in the game.

Capcom released a trailer showing how Elena's gameplay got refreshed for her Street Fighter 6 debut. Rhino Horn returns as a series of forward-moving kicks, and Scratch Wheel is a rising kick useful for keeping opponents off Elena. One of the new moves is Lynx Song, which makes her spin close to the ground and avoid opponents' projectiles. Leopard Snap is a long-reaching attack, and with Harvest Circle, she performs a kick that launches opponents into the air. Mallet Mash, the capoeirista's classic skill, continues as an overhead, and with Lynx Whirl, Elena performs an extra kick to extend the duration of Lynx Song.

Elena Returns to Street Fighter 6 With Classic Attacks and New Tools

Interestingly, if the Street Fighter character performs a Leopard Snap, Harvest Circle, or Mallet Smash after Lynx Whirl, these abilities will be boosted. Another move that returns is the Lynx Whirl series of spinning kicks, and Moon Glider is an evasive technique that ends by launching the opponent into the air with a kick. Elena's Super Arts are Meteor Volley (level 1), an anti-air that allows a follow-up attack on hit; Revival Dance (level 2), a flurry of kicks; and Song of the Grasslands (level 3), which consists of kicks delivered using the power of nature.

Street Fighter 6 will release Elena on June 5, and players can unlock the outfit she used in Street Fighter 3 and Ultra Street Fighter 4 by maximizing her bond in World Tour or spending Fighter Coins in the shop. At the same time as Elena's release, Capcom will add a new stage called Reniala Remains, with a nighttime view of the African plains.
