Known as the "Soaring Eagle of the Desert," Rashid has joined the Street Fighter 6 roster as the first DLC fighter. After having made his debut in the Street Fighter series in the fifth installment, Rashid returns with his signature wind-blasting, Parkour-infused fighting style, adding another Tricky-type fighter to the game.
As a fighter that excels at every range, players who can master all the tricks up Rashid's sleeve will easily be able to blow their opponents away. For those who hope to take Rashid to the top, here's everything there is to know about his moveset, strengths, weaknesses, and more.
Strategies for Rashid
While other Tricky-type fighters in Street Fighter 6 rely on distance and zoning strategies, Rashid is designed to rapidly change between close, mid-range, and long-distance fighting tactics.
- Learn when to dash in: Rashid's Run Unique Attack can quickly close the distance between the enemy, while also following into a variety of attacks to keep enemies guessing.
- Learn when to hold the line: Alternatively, Rashid can keep distance from enemies using his Whirlwind Shot to completely zone the enemy. Use variations of light, medium, heavy, and overdrive inputs with Whirlwind Shot to completely control the enemy's approach.
- Low blow to sky-high. Rashid's enhanced movement and jumping abilities allow him to initiate offense and defense at any height in the fight. Change it up on enemies to prevent them from developing a counter-strategy.
Rashid's Move List
With all his tricky Parkour moves, Rashid racks up a total of 26 individual attacks in his move set, consisting of 3 Super Arts, 3 throws, 8 Special Moves, and 12 Unique Attacks (Common Moves not included).

Combos for Rashid
A top-tier tricky fighter that excels at dealing significant damage from any range, Rashid's best combos will fully utilize his movement attacks and air currents to deal damage from all ranges and heights in rapid succession.
Beginner Combo: Run + Tempest Moon + Flapping Spin + Spinning Mixer
This quick and powerful rundown combo can be used right at the start of a match. Close the gap with Run, and lock the opponent with an overhead kick. Follow-up with Flapping Spin, but quickly cancel into a Spinning Mixer for a burst of damage.

Intermediate Combo: Arabian Cyclone + Rolling Assault + Nail Assault + Run + Backup
This well-rounded combo can be used to close distance, dodge projectiles, or unleash a colossal burst of damage from close range. Create an air current with Arabian Cyclone, and roll forward into Rolling Assault. Tag the opponent with a quick rolling kick, followed by a series of sweeping strikes that will switch sides with the opponent.

Advanced Combo: Overdrive Eagle Spike + Whirlwind Shot (Charged) + Side Jump + Sunset Drop + Jump + Blitz Strike + Rising Kick + Altair
This incredibly tricky yet devastating combo rapidly switches sides on the opponent while unleashing significant amounts of damage. Keep in mind that 'Back' and 'Forward' inputs are relative to the enemy location, so players will need to alternate their directional inputs in the middle of this combo as Rashid switches sides with the opponent.
Open with a huge lunging kick, knocking the enemy upward. While the enemy is airborne, charge up a Whirlwind Shot and unleash it at the perfect moment to keep juggling the enemy. Side Jump to close distance, switch sides, and quickly grab the enemy with a Sunset Drop, again switching sides. Jump over the enemy, tag them with a Blitz Strike to prevent anti-air attacks, then launch into a Rising Air, immediately canceling into Rashid's strongest Special Art, Altair, to finish the enemy.
When playing with Modern Controls, players will want to replace the Rising Kick before Altair with a Flapping Spin, as Rising Kick is not available on Modern Controls. This will sacrifice a small amount of damage on the combo in exchange for input ease.

Winning as Rashid
Rashid has the potential to be a strong fighter in any Street Fighter 6 match-up. However, his advanced maneuverability and many variations can make him difficult to master. Players seeking to add Rashid to their main line-up of fighters will want to learn all of his Parkour tricks, as well as master rapidly switching sides while still successfully inputting Special Moves and Super Arts. Here's what players should keep in mind:
- Become a master of the wind. Players who can successfully combine their movements and attacks with Rashid's air currents will unlock new variations of movements and attacks. These variations will catch enemies off guard and present new opportunities to devastate enemies and claim victory.
- The wind is a weapon. While wind projectiles are a small part of Rashid's kit, his ability to control low, mid, and high lanes to the front with Whirlwind Shot gives him significant distance control and projectile countering capabilities. Do not hesitate to follow up a knockdown combo with a fast succession of wind blasts to stack additional damage, or to sneak in an overdrive projectile when trading projectiles at a distance.
- Hardcore Parkour. Rashid's move set is one of the most versatile in the game, allowing him to quickly change distance, height, or sides relative to his opponent. Players who are looking to increase their win rate with Rashid will need to master controlling his Parkour tactics to get the most effectivity out of his kit.
Countering Rashid
With all his versatility, Rashid can be a hard fighter to oppose. Players who are struggling to bring down a good Rashid will want to utilize fighters that can counter Rashid's mobility while powering through damage.
Luke is a great counter choice as players can combine his power armor and grapple and rush down strategies to keep the pace of the fight against Rashid. Alternatively, players can take advantage of fighters like Ken or Ryu, who have incredibly quick throw start-ups to control close range while also excelling at dealing high damage from mid-range. Using a succession of Tatsumakis and Hadoukens to zone a Rashid to long-range will force him to rely exclusively on projectiles to create an opening.
Street Fighter 6 is available now on PC, Playstation, and Xbox.
