Street Fighter 6 and Monster Hunter Wilds are teaming up again, but this time in the Street Fighter universe. Capcom has revealed that Street Fighter 6 will host a month-long collaboration starting September 1, and fans of both series can expect loads of content celebrating Monster Hunter Wilds.

Fans of Akuma from Street Fighter 6 had the chance to become the character in Monster Hunter Wilds in a previous collaboration in May. The free DLC gave Monster Hunter Wilds players a chance to use their fists to take down the powerful monsters. Chun-Li and Cammy were available as paid DLC in the Monster Hunter Wilds X Street Fighter 6 collaboration.

Monster Hunter Wilds Reveals Street Fighter 6 Collaboration

Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds showcases all the new content coming in the game’s latest update, focused entirely on Street Fighter 6.

Street Fighter 6’s Monster Hunter Collab Details

  • Five new EX colors based on popular Monster Hunter Wilds monsters
  • Battle Hub voting event from September 1-September 15 to earn weapon accessories, titles, and emotes
  • Free challenger screen effects, sound effects, stickers, and wallpapers
  • Battle Hub themes and photo spots to commemorate the event
  • Monster Hunter- themed Fighting Pass
  • New avatar gear

Street Fighter 6 players will have a lot of options for this event with Monster Hunter Wilds. Players can purchase five EX colors for Blanka, Akuma, Manon, Cammy, and Ken inspired by different monsters from Monster Hunter Wilds. All players that log in during the collaboration period will receive a challenge screen effect, Quest Start sound effect, 10 stickers, and two wallpapers. The Battle Hub will be decorated with a Monster Hunter Wilds theme, and players can visit photo spots to take commemorative photos with Rathalos and Rathian from Monster Hunter Wilds.

While in the Battle Hub, players can also vote for which is stronger – the White Wraith or Demon. Voting can gain players weapon accessories including the Hope Blade, seven titles including Mmm, so tasty!, and two emotes: Hunter’s Applause and Hunter Hula. The Monster Hunter- themed Fighting Pass returns to Street Fighter 6 and will include avatar gear, emotes, and titles. And finally, new avatar gears will be added to The Shop that includes Rathalos color sets and Felyne color sets.

As of now, there’s no word on how much the new EX colors or the avatar gears will cost. Street Fighter 6 fans had previously complained about the TMNT skins, with each skin costing $15 apiece. Unlike the TMNT collaboration, the Monster Hunter Wilds EX colors are for the fighters themselves, so players may be more willing to spend the money on this one-time collab. Players will have the chance to gain avatar gear based around Rathalos through the Fighting Pass if they don’t want to purchase the gear itself, but the exclusive colors will only be available in The Shop.

The Street Fighter 6 X Monster Hunter Wilds collaboration comes on the heels of the Street Fighter 6 collab with K-Pop group Aespa. Players previously noted that the Juri skin featured in the team-up meant that Juri had the most outfits in the game, so fans might be relieved to see other fighters getting their spotlight.
