Street Fighter 6 has released a new update that adds Terry Bogard to the game's roster. Terry is the second DLC fighter from Year 2 of Street Fighter 6, and his arrival in the game marks the crossover between two of the most beloved franchises in fighting games and the video game industry in general.

With the announcement of the Year 1 characters, players saw a bit of the past and future coming to the game. The beautiful and lethal A.K.I. Made her debut last year, along with new appearances from the well-known Rashid and Ed, as well as the return of Akuma to Street Fighter 6, bringing an even more intimidating version of the iconic Satsui no Hado user. Surprising fans, during Street Fighter 6's appearance at Summer Games Fest 2024, Capcom revealed the Year 2 fighters, with one more name released to players.

Terry Bogard is now playable as part of the latest Street Fighter 6 update. The poster boy of the King of Fighters and Fatal Fury series can be bought individually for Fighter Coins and is available for Year 2 Character Pass and Ultimate Pass owners. Terry has a skillset familiar to fans, including the moves Power Wave and Burn Knuckle, his specials, and Power Geyser, his level 2 super. Accompanying the fighter's debut, Capcom has added an assortment of Terry-related content, such as alternative outfits for him, the new Pao Pao Cafe 6 Stage, a new arcade story, combo trials, avatar poses, and more.

Street Fighter 6 Update Brings Terry Bogard to Players

While the Legendary Hungry Wolf is the highlight of the Street Fighter 6 update, the patch brings fixes for training modes, sound problems, and gameplay changes. This fixes bugs affecting Drive Impact, Special Move Start Up (Modern Controls), and Assisted Combo, as well as an adjustment to Drive Reversal. The fighters have also been balanced, with a new round of nerfs, fixes, and buffs for Chun-Li's moveset, and other fighters such as Dee Jay, Juri, Manon, and Blanka.

Before Terry, it was M. Bison who returned as the first DLC fighter of Street Figther 6 Year 2, who was added in June of this year. Now, players will only see new characters next year, with the anticipated debut of Elena, first seen in Street Fighter 3, happening in Spring 2025. Rounding off the Year 2 releases will be Mai Shiranui, another beloved character from SNK's games, who will be added in the Winter of next year.
