Summary

  • Street Fighter 6 boasts a strong roster of fighters, with DLC adding even more quality characters throughout its first and second years.
  • M. Bison, Terry, Elena, and Mai join the lineup, each bringing their own unique fighting styles and abilities to the game.
  • The game also offers an evolved combat system, Real Time Commentary Feature, and World Tour mode for players to dive into and enjoy.

Widely considered to be one of the best fighting games in recent years, Street Fighter 6 shipped with an incredibly strong roster of fighters. From staples like Ryu, Ken, and Chun Li, to new characters like Manon and Marisa, Street Fighter 6 was packed with distinct and diverse characters right out of the gate, and the game's Year 1 DLC only made things better.

Rolling out between July 2023 and May 2024, Street Fighter 6's Year 1 DLC added four new fighters to the game, all of which matched that same high level of quality found in the game's base roster, from newcomer A.K.I. To the iconic villainous Akuma. But Capcom isn't done with Street Fighter 6 just yet. A few months ago, Street Fighter 6 started to roll out its Year 2 fighters, and there are still three impressive characters waiting to jump in the ring.

Every Character Included in The Street Fighter 6 Year 2 DLC

M. Bison - Available Now

Introduced all the way back in 1991's Street Fighter 2, M. Bison was the first character included in Street Fighter 6's Year 2 DLC line-up. Bison has appeared throughout Street Fighter's long history, and has made multiple appearances in crossover games like Marvel vs. Capcom. Bison is a true Street Fighter staple, and his return in Street Fighter 6 has been met with a great deal of attention. Released back in June, Street Fighter 6's version of M. Bison is still a little overpowered, but he's a hell of a lot of fun to play, and if he's any indication of what's in store for the rest of the Year 2 DLC slate, then fans are in for a treat.

Terry - September 24 2024

The main protagonist of the Fatal Fury franchise, Terry Bogard has appeared in more than his fair share of crossover titles, with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate being one of his most recent outings. Terry Bogard is next up to bat in Street Fighter 6's Year 2 pass, with his release date currently being September 24. During Gamescom, Capcom released a gameplay trailer for Street Fighter 6's Terry, showcasing some of the classic SNK character's new moves. Based on the trailer, it seems as though Terry will have plenty of hard-hitting jabs and lunges, along with a few powerful zoning attacks.

Elena - Spring 2025

Introduced in 1997's Street Fighter 3, Elena is a Kenyan Capoeira fighter who's making her long-awaited return to the Street Fighter franchise in the Spring of next year. Elena last appeared in Ultra Street Fighter 4 back in 2014, which means it's been a decade since fans last saw her. In her past appearances, Elena has primarily fought with kicks, using her feet to jab opponents, and sweeping her legs overhead to deal large amounts of damage quickly. It seems likely Street Fighter 6's version of Elena will feature plenty of kicking attacks.

Mai - Winter 2025

A fellow Fatal Fury and King of Fighters champion, Mai is joining Terry in Street Fighter 6's Year 2 DLC. In all of her past appearances, Mai has used a traditional Japanese butterfly fan as her primary weapon, and if the Year 2 announcement trailer is any indication, she'll be using her trusty fan once again in Street Fighter 6. Mai is the last fighter included in the Year 2 DLC, and she's set to launch in Winter 2025.
