Have you recently started playing Subnautica and are feeling somewhat overwhelmed? No worries, as there is a way to get an easy headstart by opening locked rooms on the Aurora. You will get the codes for them at one point while playing through the game’s story. But if you read our guide, you can open the door early in the game.

Subnautica: Aurora Door Codes
The Aurora is the spacecraft that your character arrived on. It has crashed into the ocean and broken down. This triggered the emergency lockdown protocols, so now you’ll have to open the doors using codes.
Here are the entry codes for all the doors:
- Captain’s Quarters: the door code for this room is 2679
- Lab Access: to enter the lab, use the code 6483
- Cabin 1: the cabin entry code is 1869
- Cargo Bay: to access Aurora’s cargo, use the code 1454
You only have to enter the codes once, and the doors will stay unlocked after that. Now that you know all the entry codes for the Aurora, let’s take a look at what you can find aboard the Aurora
Subnautica: How to Get Ion Power Cells

Subnautica: What You Can Find on the Aurora?
You may be wondering what all the codes are useful for. Well, behind the locked doors aboard the Aurora, many items’ll help you in your adventures, as well as in some tasks you’ll have to complete in order to progress the story.
These include upgrades for a lot of your equipment, batteries, and some cosmetic items. Some of the upgrades may even let you into areas that were unavailable earlier due to not having the right equipment. Here’s what you can find in each of the locked rooms:
- Cargo Bay - supply crates and rarely up to 3 Cyclops engine fragments.
- Laboratory - various sample flasks, supply crates, a microscope, and a sample analyzer.
- Cargo Bay - Captain’s Log data download.
- Cabin 1 - Blue Cap, Arcade Gorge Toy cosmetics.
There are also some important upgrades and items that aren’t in locked rooms. Here they are:
- Prawn Bay - Prawn suit fragments, Storage module (gives the Seamoth a 4x4 storage).
- Seamoth Bay - Seamoth Depth Module Mk1, damaged Seamoth pieces.
- Drive Room - Cyclops Engine Efficiency module.
As for story tasks, you will have to repair the Drive Core in order to enter the Aurora without a radiation suit. To repair the Drive Core, you’ll need a radiation suit and a repair tool. You may also need fire extinguishers to explore the Aurora, as there are many fires as a result of the Drive Core exploding.
