Rocksteady has already taken down Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League after a bug prevented players from accessing the game's content. The title has followed a very vocal controversy over the past year for its live-service focus. However, that hasn't stopped players from getting their hands on the Deluxe edition of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League to play the game early.

The game has been plagued by leaks and rumors over the past few months, particularly about its narrative elements and DLC. Rocksteady confirmed that an alternate version of the Joker is coming to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, but leaks point to other characters like Victoria Fries (Mrs. Freeze), Zoe Lawton (Lawless), and Deathstroke.

Players who purchased the deluxe version of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League had the perk of accessing the game 72 hours before official release. But many were greeted by a bug that showed full story completion when they logged on for the first time. Hours after opening up access, Rocksteady said the game would be taken down for maintenance to fix the issue. The studio stated that the game would be unavailable for several hours, though it's unclear how long this downtime might last. Of course, bugs and glitches on day one are expected for almost every modern AAA title. However, this does little to inspire confidence.

Additionally, there are questions about how the game plans to handle its story within the Arkham universe and how it might lead up to the next title. In one of its recent Q&A sessions, Rocksteady hinted that Brainiac may be alive at the end of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. With regard to a new Arkham Batman game after Suicide Squad, the studio's Associate Design Director Johnny Armstrong urged caution for fans. Armstrong stated that they should not get their hopes up just yet, as Rocksteady hasn't outright confirmed or denied the possibility of another Batman-centric game anytime soon.

But Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League isn't the only major DC game in development. Fans are already growing in anticipation of the eventual reveal of Monolith's Wonder Woman game. Not much is known about the project, apart from the possibility that Monolith's Wonder Woman could have live-service elements and rumors that suggest some movement mechanics similar to Crackdown. It's also reportedly aiming to utilize WB's proprietary Nemesis system, though it remains to be seen how the game will incorporate all of these aspects should the speculations prove true. In any case, it appears 2024 will be an interesting year for DC fans all around.
