Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League returns, bringing players into the fractured madhouse of Metropolis with Season 1's new free content update, which features the Clown Prince of Crime himself as a playable squad member, albeit, the Clown Prince of Crime from another universe. Play as the Joker in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and enjoy his wild new style from Rocksteady Games' live-service title, bringing the Joker to players for free.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League – What Character Should You Pick?
Assemble a team of imperfect supervillains in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and find which one works best for you.
With Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Season 1 just releasing, players might be eager to check out the game and get their hands on Batman's arch-nemesis, but how exactly does one unlock the Joker? Luckily, there are two ways that players can get their hands on Joker, so assemble Task Force X and get ready to head back to Metropolis.
Reach Rank 35 & Complete Rescue The Joker? Mission
How To Unlock Joker For Free
When players first head into Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, they will need to select Episode 1: Fear. Upon heading in with the squad, players will notice that the Metropolis map has gotten a little crazier than usual, and elements of Joker's crafted world have bled into Metropolis. From here, it's all about the grind, and players will need to raise their Episode Rank to 35 in order to start the Rescue The Joker mission, which will see the Suicide Squad take down yet another Brainiac body double, and spring an alternate-universe Joker from his imprisonment, one that doesn't exactly have burning love for Harley Quinn.
How to earn Episode Ranks can be quite bothersome, as it will require players to hop in for a grind session. Players can repeat the Incursion missions available to them for the cost of 1,000 Promethium per online player, and completing these missions on the Sweating Bullets difficulty should nab players one Episode Rank per run. This seems to be the most efficient method as of Season 1's release, and Mastery Levels are not available until the Rescue The Joker mission has been completed.
Every player in the Squad needs to be Episode Rank 35, and just to be clear, that doesn't mean Squad Rank. Players can find their Episode Rank on the top left of the Map screen. Complete Incursions and Support Squad missions to earn Episode Ranks, but Incursions are definitely the most efficient, so long as players have Promethium. After Rank 35 has been hit, load into the Rescue The Joker mission and prepare to fight a Brainiac, a 12th-level threat at Rank 40 that may cause some challenges.
Purchase The Joker For 1,000 LuthorCoins
Skip The Grind And Pay To Unlock Joker
If players want to skip the grind and get Joker in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League fast, then they can head to the in-game Store and find Joker in the Featured tab. The Joker is a purchasable character for 1,000 LuthorCoins, which will cost players about $10.00 (USD). Purchasing this with in-game currency will unlock the Joker fully, allowing players to hop in as this character in Metropolis, or even in the story missions from the base game, permanently.
Buying the Joker is great for fans of the character, but he can still be obtained for free through the Episode Ranks. Once players have acquired the Joker, they will unlock 3 new Riddler AR challenges to complete as Joker for new color swatches, but they will still have to actually complete Episode Ranks and Rescue The Joker mission in order to unlock Mastery Levels.
