One of the most infamous video game launches in recent memory, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League failed to live up to its Arkhamverse predecessors when fans first got their hands on it last year. Though its combat could be a bit of chaotic fun and there were some occasional bright spots in the game's writing, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's live-service approach severely hampered the entire experience, leading to an incomplete narrative and the mere promise of a proper conclusion later down the line.
With the release of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Season 4 Episode 8, that conclusion has finally arrived, and unfortunately, it does little to relieve the disappointing sting of the game's original cliffhanger ending. Suicide Squad's final update closes the book on Task Force X's meandering quest to kill every multiversal version of Brainiac in appropriately disappointing fashion, delivering a comic slideshow with voiceover from Harley Quinn that confirms the fates of several major Arkhamverse characters.

Brainiac - In Amanda Waller's Custody
At the end of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's base game story, Brainiac is captured by Task Force X and killed by Amanda Waller. It's then revealed that Brainiac has cloned himself 12 times and scattered those bodies across the multiverse. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's post-launch content has revolved around the team's quest to kill those clones.
The final Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League update ends with Task Force X killing the final set of Brainiac clones, and capturing the last remaining variant. Before heading off into the multiverse, Task Force X leave Amanda Waller with a parting gift, the last Brainiac clone, restrained and ready for interrogation.
Task Force X - Free and Enjoying Some Multiversal R&R
After defeating the final set of Brainiac clones, Task Force X reveal that they had a plan to cut themselves free from Waller's workforce. With Hack, Toyman, and Lawless' help, Task Force X's implanted bombs are defused. Now free of Waller's control, the entire Suicide Squad team – including Penguin, Hack, Toyman, Ivy, and presumably Gizmo – head off into the Elseworlds to enjoy their retirement.
The Justice League - Alive and Rescuing The Multiverse
Probably the most controversial aspect of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's story was its titular dispatching of the beloved DC superhero team. Unfortunately, Suicide Squad's treatment of the team remains just as controversial, with this final update confirming that the Justice League in the base game story were all clones created by Brainiac.
Over the course of the last three post-launch updates, Task Force X rescues the original versions of The Flash, Green Lantern, and finally, Superman and Batman from Brainiac's clutches. All four heroes are alive, and all are attempting to "atone" for their absence by traveling the multiverse and helping where they can.
Wonder Woman - Dead
But there's one member of the Justice League who doesn't get a happy ending in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. While Batman, Superman, The Flash, and Green Lantern were all captured and cloned by Brainiac, Wonder Woman managed to resist his powers. She works with the Suicide Squad to try and defeat her former allies (not realizing that they're clones) and is ultimately killed by the Superman clone. She is not resurrected by the end of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Tim Drake's Robin - Presumed Dead
When Task Force X venture into the Batcave to try and find a way to defeat the Justice League, they find Robin's mask on the floor, lying in a pool of blood. It's heavily implied that the cloned Batman killed Tim Drake.
The Riddler - Still Riddling
Only a handful of Arkhamverse villains return in Suicide Squad, and the Riddler is one of them, leaving challenges for Task Force X around Metropolis. The Riddler's side content never reaches any kind of proper conclusion in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, so he's presumably still out there doing his thing.
