With E3 taking a year off, the summer that is usually packed with video game events and press conferences is looking a little different in 2022. With the Electronic Software Association's annual show canceling its digital and physical presences this year, The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley has returned once again to host his third Summer Game Fest, which brings together developers and publishers from around the video game industry for a single show full of new reveals and announcements. With the show airing in less than 24 hours, here's a quick guide to where the Summer Game Fest Kick-Off show can be streamed online.
Summer Game Fest first got its start in 2020 after many major video game events were canceled due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The show started off relatively small, with more sporadic announcements spread from June to August of that year. However, there were big reveals in the form of the unveiling of Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5 and the announcement of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time. This was small beginnings for the show however, because in 2021, Keighley returned with the first of the now annual Summer Game Fest Kick-Off showcases.
What Time Will Summer Game Fest Air At
This year, Summer Game Fest will air at 2pm EST/ 11pm PDT/7pm BST. The show is expected to run for just under two hours and will feature announcements from over 30 publishers and developers from across the video game industry.
