Super Mario Party Jamboree players have a new November update to download for the game. While this patch does not bring new content for Super Mario Party Jamboree fans to check out, it should improve stability for those playing Minigame Bay online.
Released on October 17, Super Mario Party Jamboree has received widespread praise from critics and fans. As the newest Mario Party game on the Switch, the developers looked to up the ante by bringing one of the biggest parties the series has ever seen. In fact, Super Mario Party Jamboree has seven boards, more than 100 minigames, and a variety of modes to check out. In addition, the game features online functionality, allowing players to party with friends from around the globe. However, some gamers have run into an issue while attempting to do this.
On November 19, Nintendo released a new update for Super Mario Party Jamboree related to online play. According to the patch notes, this update brings the game up to Version 1.1.1 and fixes a bug impacting Minigame Bay when playing Tag Match online. It is worth noting that this issue only appears under certain circumstances, meaning not every player will be impacted while playing Minigame Bay in Super Mario Party Jamboree. Nevertheless, the patch should make the game mode more stable for those participating in online matches.
This is not the only update the game has received to address bugs and other issues. Previously, Super Mario Party Jamboree received a launch day update that fixed several problems with the game, such as a bug in Sky-High Cannons and a couple for Toad’s Item Factory. These updates suggest that Nintendo is committed to making Super Mario Party Jamboree as enjoyable as bug-free as possible.
Despite this support, some fans are hoping the developer decides to bring DLC to the game. While Super Mario Party Jamboree features tons of content, there are many more characters from the Super Mario franchise that could make for exciting additions. In addition, with numerous past installments in the Mario Party franchise, there is no shortage of classic boards the developers could bring to the game in the future.
With no announcement for when a future update for Super Mario Party Jamboree will be released, fans will have to wait and see if any new content is added to the game. Regardless of what comes next, this most recent update should make Minigame Bay more enjoyable for those who enjoy playing it.
Latest Update: Ver. 1.1.1 (Released November 19, 2024) Patch Notes
Online
- Fixed a bug where, when selecting “Minigame Bay” → “Tag Match” → “Worldwide” as an “Online Match,” depending on the length of the name (nickname) of the player (parent device) who created the room and invited their friends, “There are no other participants. Returning to the Party Plaza.” Appears on the screen of the parent device, ending the session, and the software closes for the other participants.
