The modern survival horror game Crow Country reached an impressive milestone recently as it surpassed over 100,000 copies sold, according to the developer. Most of the sales appear to have been from Steam, with the rest of the sales numbers for Crow Country coming from the PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and the recently released PS4 version.

An homage to classic survival horror and heavily influenced by the likes of Silent Hill and the original Resident Evil titles, Crow Country centers around a federal agent investigating a mystery surrounding an abandoned amusement park. Players will encounter a series of haunting enemies along the way as they navigate the fixed-camera environments, scavenge for resources, and solve puzzles in a similar vein to the games that inspired it.

Not only did Crow Country enjoy overwhelming praise from fans and critics alike, it also managed to break 100,000 copies sold, according to the developer, SFB Games, a small indie studio also known for their work on the Nintendo Switch exclusive Snipperclips. Now that the game is available across all modern platforms, including last-gen consoles, sales numbers are likely to continue to grow as demand for survival horror similarly thrives.

Crow Country Grows Its Audience With Impressive Sales

SFB Games co-founder Tom Vian spoke about the achievement in sales that Crow Country has managed, stating how glad he is that so many different people have been able to appreciate the work that he and the company put into making it. He issued a heartfelt thank you to the fans who have poured so much praise onto the game in the six months following its launch, mentioning how perfect the timing is as well, given that Halloween is so quickly approaching.

The developer pointed out that it was the recent Nintendo Switch release of Crow Country that finally brought the game over the threshold of 100,000 copies, as it expanded the audience once more months after the original Steam and console versions came out. To coincide with its monumental sales, SFB Games is also collaborating with Fangamer to create exclusive merchandise for Crow Country, seemingly including t-shirts, plushies, and physical copies of the game, set to be for sale on October 29.

As for the future of Crow Country, SFB Games does not appear to have any plans for follow-up content or further ports, likely focusing instead on future projects to come later down the line. In the meantime, though, survival horror fans have no shortage of games to play, between the hugely successful Silent Hill 2 remake and the recent re-release of the PS2 cult classic Siren on the PS5.
